Heard on STO yesterday evening the Boston was interested in Shopach but Cleveland wanted a second or third baseman or a closer. I don't think Boston is going to give out Papple... and they don't have any 2nd or 3rd that they would be willing to trade so unless they can pull a third team into the trade they're not going to get my catcher

I really like the signing of Woods. It will be interesting to see what the final dollars of the deal are, but it shouldn't be alot (if it is more than $6-7 mil a season I might change my mind).
While he is injury prone, I hope it is more to do with overuse than a real problem. And as a closer he will only see 70 innings a season so that will be enough to keep him healthy through his contract. Now it is time to concentrate on the infield! |
