Pluto writes a pretty good article on Cleveland.com/sports regarding that there is enough blame to be spread around for the Indians demise between Wedge and Shapiro but puts most of the blame on Wedge. One of the good points that he makes is that Wedge really needs to set a starting lineup and stick with it for a while and see what it brings. Leave JP at third, Cabrera at short, and DeRosa at second where he played for most of last year with Chicago. Put LaPorta in the OF and let him play every day and set DD down. Keep Choo in the lineup but mov Sizemore down to the seventh or eighth spot in the lineup. DeRosa, Garko, or Victor rotating at first and put Carroll at second when he comes back. The only thing that I don't understand is who would bat first in this lineup.

I personally can't see them bringing back Laffey into the rotation when he has given some stabilization to the bullpen. It is like one person said they rob Peter to pay Paul. I don't know why they didn't try Sowers in the bullpen for a couple chances because he always seems to last they inning or two which would be good enough in the bullpen. It will be interesting to see who they bring up from Columbus to start on Saturday if Huff is not doing very well. Have not been really following what he has been doing. If they could get things turned around quickly enough, this division can still be had and remember what I have said about the Indians and warm weather

Agree with some of this but I would rather see Valbuena at 2nd and DeRosa as a utility guy getting plenty of PT in the outfield. DeRosa is not all that great at 2nd but has been pretty good in the outfield.

As for a new leadoff hitter, I'd go with Choo.

surprisingly, Ohka has been pitching the best down in AAA. Both he and Huff have had 2 shaky starts out of 7, but aside from those 2, Ohka's been pretty stout.

Choo might strike out a little bit too much to be a leadoff hitter but I don't see anybody else around and Cabrera is too good at the #2 hole to move to #1 so I really don't know.

Bats are staying hot. Not really been a problem, overall (5th in runs scored in MLB). Though there's been bad timing at certain points (i.e. not scoring when Lee pitches a gem). Too bad the team is last in ERA.

Reyes on the bump today.

Looks like Wedgie just got tossed. I'm surprised he has enough emotion in him to get tossed.
