What was funny, he missed the strike zone badly on his first two pitches, so I convinced he was going to either walk in a run or toss a wild pitch. Then he grooved a meatball right down the center of the plate with a 2-0 count. I knew it was gone before Konerko swung.

Really, what's worse? Wedge putting him in in that position, or Shapiro bringing a pitcher with known control issues into THIS "bullpen". It's a two headed monster of dumb[censored]ery.

not to disagree but I find it hard to believe that they have quit. You would at least think that they are playing to increase their chances of making more money next year or staying up in the majors. I think it might be a lack of talent + effort directly related to the manager.

I don't think that Dolan will ever fire Shapiro unless he catches him dipping into the petty cash I think if Shapiro stays so will Wedgie or why not let him go now instead of waiting for the off-season. Let's see what someone else can do. I would not mind seeing Tony Pena as the next manager. I thought that since he was in Kansas City.

Which emphasizes just how terrible the pitching is. Offense has never been a problem, always been the bullpen. And now this year it's the bullpen and the rotation.

And unfortunately outside of Rondon there are no future FOR starters in our farm system. Need to trade the few people that do have value for some young arms.

I don't think you can really say that. Not many people thought Cliff Lee would ever be a #1 starter. In addition to Rondon, guys such as De La Cruz, Gomez, House, Perez, Berger & Salazar all have a good bit of upside. Not saying they'll all pan out but they certainly have higher ceilings than recent prospects such as Sowers or Lewis.

Sowers was highly regarded coming out of the draft. I don't think its possible to say he didn't have a high ceiling. Obviously things happen but with projecting prospects you know that the majority of them will not pan out, even though there will be a few surprises. I also dont think we should call Lewis a bust just yet. I think he may be able to bring it together. Really hope Alex White (the most recent draft pick, i think that's his name) can pan out and actually be a starter.

Yeah, impressive AAA debut, but I try not to get overly excited about Tribe pitching prospects. Name the last one with sustained success before C.C...Nagy? Eh. Swindell? Besides, I don't know if I'd want him polluted by these humps currently creating a black hole on mounds around the league with their sucking.

Anyway, another day, another loss. We're looking down the barrel of back to back sweeps at the hands of our biggest rivals heading into the break. But, no fear! The shaved ape in the dugout thinks things are gonna magically turn around after the break!

Honestly, I haven't felt this bleak about this franchises direcion since before the Gateway Project. They say it's a strong possibility Shapiro's retarded ass may step down, but will his ego let him? An ego is the only explanation for him allowing further Wedgeboarding. Or refusing to see that this team is in need of a MAJOR overhaul. He seems intent on going down with his ship and make no mistake, this ship is going down.
