In other words, it would seem pretty bogus if the ump called the man "safe" then called him out for not touching the plate upon appeal. However, NOT making any call would to me look like a signal to the defense that he indeed did miss the plate. Either way, I'm pulling for the Phillies so it doesn't bother me, but it's a shame that a game of this magnitude could have turned on such an obviously blown call. That being said, I'll admit that a home plate ump in baseball has about no "good" angle to position himself in for these types of plays at the plate. Peace

I'm rooting for Carsten Charles to get the win tonight.....Utley is the best player in baseball right now. I think hands down. Guy is a beast.
Can you imagine a team that would have a 1-2 starting rotation of Cliff Lee and C.C. Sabathia?....they'd be sick.

Is 3 runs enough for arguably the best closer ever?
I don't know what was bigger for the series for the Yanks. A-Rods homer yesterday or Damon getting that extra base on the steal today.
