Mo Williams seems to be fitting well so far...

They have the third best record in the NBA. I'd say Ferry is doing as good of a job as a person can do build a team in Cleveland. I'd expect another big move by the trading deadline this year as well, but so far in the past year he has traded a bunch of stiffs for some decent players without hurting their long term ability to have cap space. All this Lebron is going to leave crap needs to stop for a year and a half.

The Cavs can stand pat. This year Snow's contract and Wally's contract
expire, leaving the Cave 20 million a year to sign a better player or two. They also have a first round pick to get lucky with. |

I think they're enough over the cap that 20 mil won't allow them to do anything this off season. It's next year when Z, Ben, and Lebron come off the books (temporarily) that they will have money to spend. If they want to add a piece before the summer of 2010 they will need to trade the expiring contracts. I'm just not sure what piece I would want at this point.

The Ant?nio McD rumor coming to the Cavs seems to have died down pretty fast or have I missed something.

Ben said he thinks he's going back to Detroit. Hopefully the Cavs can crush them tonight and make him change his mind since he wants to play for a team that can win it all.

They don't need McDyess anyway. They certainly don't need Vince Carter. Get over that idea.
IKf they get anyone, it will be with Wallys expiring and the 2009 first round pick. I'm not even sure who is available. The only name I can think of would be Gerald Wallace. |

I knew about the money difference but I and also heard some talk that may be Big Ben might be able to talk to Antonio coming to Cleveland instead of Detroit. Really can't see that much difference in the two cities. Guess it all depends on what you are looking at.

I have no problem with the team as it is now, unless you could do something to bring a starting PF in that can play defense and score, but don't see that happening, or bring in a guy like Redd, but right now this team is playing very well with West and Boobie, we need a replacement for Wally and I would be fine with Sasha...We don't really need a starter, I think West is playing just fine...

ESPN Hype Machine in full-force for LeBron to NY along with Wade, Amare, or Bosh.
Jalen Rose, through a source, claims LeBron to NY is a done deal and that Bosh will be the other player. Stephen A. has been banging the NY drum since last year, saying those close to LeBron have told him he will leave. I'm not sure what Gilbert can do other than surrond him with talent and hope he resigns a max-contract. Personally, I don't think it will be enough. It'd be nice if they could put together some back-room deal allowing for part ownership or something crazy when he retires. The amount of money the Cavs will have to compete with (Nike, Coca-Cola, etc.) along with league pressure (headquartered in NY) is going to be tough to overcome. Hopefully Screamin' A and Jalen are getting bad info... |
