As a non Cav fan do you watch Lebron and think, "He isn't that good"? I think last night they figured out that the Cavs have enough of a team now that they don't need to run the show through Lebron all the time, which is only going to make everyone better. Personally, I think the Falcons would be better if they stopped running the show through Vick and turned him into a "Slash" rather than a QB. |

my comment was more towards the cleveland fanbase and how they underrate anybody good...unless they are playing in cleveland. then all of a sudden that person is god. |

I'm not really comparing Vick and Lebron.........Lebron wins that every time. I'm just saying that Cleveland fans tend to overrate their players while underrating anybody else.
For instance, I went to a Cavs-6ers game when I was in Cleveland for the NCAA tourny. Lebron had an off night, but AI went off. This was my first time seeing Lebron.....and technically my first time seeing AI (I've only been to 1 other NBA game, in Philly. I was about 4 rows from the roof. Couldn't see much.). I think AI is the best player in the NBA. I don't think many Cavs fans would agree. |

He has enough respect from the officials now that more often than not, if he drives to the hoop, he's either going to get the points or the call. It was driving me crazy yesterday in the 4th. When he came out in overtime, he was driving to the hoop and drew at least 3 calls, with one being a continuation three point play. |

Ok, now you really are full of beans. AI best in the game? You must not watch much NBA do you ? You must be too busy watching those damn Raiders blowing another game!!!! Hey, I'm with you there. Getting back to it, I wouldn't call LBJ the best in the league. At least not yet. At this point, Garnett still have him, as well as a couple others , beat. The thing about Lebron is that if has has an off night shooting, he still contributes with steals, rebounds and assists. His shooting has actually improved alot since he came into the league. Iverson is good, but no where near the best in the NBA. For one, he takes too many shots, and doesn't shoot that well. He takes nearly 25 shots a game and shoots near 40%. I like watching him play, but I can think of at least 10 guys I'd take over him. |

You still following those pathetic Raiders, 27 ? It hurts, but I still watch. One of these days.

It's come to the point where I was cheering for the broncos to get the ball back so Tatum Bell could get me some fantasy points.
I've decided that the only way I can ever become a hard core Raider fan is if they draft AJ or Carpenter. They haven't had a Buckeye on the team in years. If they go after TO then I'm done with them forever. |

LeBron All-Star game MVP
I tried to watch the game, but after the rediculously over the top intros, and a sloppy first few minutes, I turned it off.
HOUSTON (AP) -- "The Chosen One" was an obvious choice for All-Star game MVP. LeBron James led a big second-half comeback by the East on Sunday night, taking a victory away from the West and probably the MVP award away from hometown favorite Tracy McGrady. James finished with 29 points in the East's 122-120 victory while showing the all-around skills that have made him perhaps the NBA's most talented young player. The 21-year-old Cleveland star became the youngest MVP of the game, surpassing Oscar Robertson. James added six rebounds, two assists and two steals. He needed only two tries to win the MVP award of the NBA's showcase event. He finished with 13 points last year in the East's victory. The West was seemingly in control of the game before James took over in the third quarter. He did nearly everything in a 10-0 run that gave the East a chance after it trailed by as many as 21 points early in the period. He grabbed a rebound that led to Dwyane Wade's jumper, then dunked on the next trip. James then had steals on consecutive possessions, finding Allen Iverson for a jumper on the first one and then draining a 3-pointer that got the East within 85-78 with half the quarter left. James trails Kobe Bryant and Iverson in the NBA's most exciting scoring race in years, with all three averaging more than 30 points. Both had already been MVPs of the All-Star game, so perhaps it was James' turn. He was expected to be an NBA superstar even in high school, when he was featured on a magazine cover with the title "The Chosen One." He went on to be the No. 1 pick in the 2003 NBA draft out of high school. On Sunday night, he proved those expectations were deserved. Copyright 2006 Associated Press. All rights reserved. It was actually a very good game.
LBJ showed his ability to take over a game. I wish that he would of took it to the hole a coulple more times and show off his skills, but nonetheless, this is a very big honor for him. How bout he gets a sweep and takes the mvp and finals mvp too. Ok I got a lil ahead of myself. ![]() |

I watched the entire game. After the first quarter, it turned into one hell of a game. The second half was the most intense I can remember an All-Star game being. LeBron played outstanding.

I watched the whole game for the first time in many years. I think I stayed tuned in b/c at the end of the first quarter, LeBron had 10, and I knew if he kept it up, he had a shot at the MVP. I am really glad I stayed tuned in--it was great to watch him become the youngest all-star MVP ever. Just another milestone in an already brilliant career!
