Dwayne Jones finds his center role
Wednesday, October 24, 2007 Branson Wright
Plain Dealer Reporter
Dwayne Jones already has secured a position with the Cavaliers, but Jones' motor continues to run. The same high-octane and physical approach that helped earn him a roster spot is stuck in drive.
"I'm not in a position to calm down," Jones said. "I've played 18 games in my career. I've been in the league for two years. I played four games last year. I'm hoping I can play four games in the first week of this coming season."
Based on training camp and based on his play in preseason games, Jones will earn plenty of time early this season. Since it appears Anderson Varejao does not plan to sign with the Cavs anytime soon and Cedric Simmons is not 100 percent with a left ankle bruise, Jones will become part of the rotation, primarily as a backup center. He has gone from a player with a partial guaranteed contract to a one-year deal.

Then you have the Cavs beat the Stons who were supposed to kick our ass. The Cavs last year had a great run as an overrated team in a weak Confrence, but hopefully it is just a glimpse of the future.
Then there is the Tribe! What a great run they had. No one thought they would make the ALCS. Hell the Tigers were supposed to win the division going away. Think how we handled the Tigs in Sept. Great baseball by a very young team who will be around for awhile. Then they beat the evil empire in 4. [censored] the yankees. That was awsome handeling them. Yes they should have beaten the BoSox once they went up 3-1. They didn't, but they will be back. They are a fun ball club, and after this year, anything less than the ALCS will be a disappointment. Go Tribe! Thanks for making baseball relevant in Cleveland again.
Oh, and lets not forget your #1 ranked Buckeyes, in a rebuilding year, where no one else has taken care of their schedule. There is along way to go before the title game, but damn its good to be a Buckeye. Take care of business and we are in the Nat'l Championship game two years in a row, this time as an underdog with a chip. JT will get it done. Then the recruiting classes we are bringing in. (Brian Rolle, Sanzo, these are the underrated guys, not even the 5*). It's great to be a Buckeye.
The BB Bucks should be solid and will challenge for a 3rd straight B10 title (at least I think it would be three). We have a great coach who is bringing in great recruiting classes and great young men. See Conley, Oden. You win with people. Thats what it is about as a Buckeye.
Lets be honest, we are not TSUN, nor would we ever want to be. Life is good!
Go Bucks! Beat PSU, on the road, under the lights with the white-out. "Ohio State does't need white-outs because we dont make mistakes."
BTW Cavs need some help to get to the pinnacle, but they will eventually.

Yea division titles are great and all, but I want a national title. I live in the middle of gator country- you don't know what I put up with. I've dealt with losing for a looong time now. Panthers 0-1, Indians 0-1, Bucks 1-2, Cavs 0-1. It starts to hurt. That's the point I was making. Don't tell me the Indians and football Buckeyes didn't choke- they did. Indians: 3-1 you HAVE to finish. They weren't supposed to be there, but they were, and should've won. No excuse for CC and Fausto pitching that way- I could've done better, broken arm and all. The Bucks, I talked so much [censored] about before the title that was all but given to us. Shoulda rolled over the #4 Gators. As far as the Cavs, I had them down for a 4-1 loss in that series, but I was atleast hoping for a little help to LBJ.

Cleveland Cavaliers' Marshall overcomes passport problem in China
Tuesday, October 23, 2007 Branson Wright
Plain Dealer Reporter
The Cavaliers returned from their weeklong trip to China last Saturday and no one could be happier than Donyell Marshall.
Marshall came close to an extended stay in China because his passport was misplaced by the Cavs. When the Cavs travel out of the country, like to Toronto, the team keeps all of the passports together. But when the team traveled from Shanghai to Macao last Thursday, Marshall had to stay behind momentarily.
"I had to sit in the police station in Macao for three hours because they wouldn't let me leave the country," Marshall said. "They said there was a procedure to go through and it would take a couple of days. We had a problem with that. I was nervous about the whole situation."

I don't know about this year- we lost last year due to no "team", oh big things changin this year. Expecting a big pickup like KG or something, but we wind up with, oh yea, little to nothing.

I admit that the football team didn't play their best in the BCS last year, but how did the bball team choke? Nobody would have beat Florida the way they shot in that game.
