Those are two very good picks for those awards...
The only other guy for coach of the year would of been Doc Rivers, but he was given 3 superstars after last years horrible team...

will Greg Oden have an opporunity to win Rookie of the Year next year since it will be his first active season?
Or was that opportunity missed due to the injury?

No. Greg is able to get that next year. I can't remember who it was, but I'm thinking JJ, maybe it was Kidd...someone was either in the running, or won it, after being injured for most of their actual rookie year.

I have voiced my opinion on here before about this, but LBJ beats him about every statistical category, and Kobe has a much better supporting cast around him than LBJ does...
But they feel bad for Kobe because he hasn't won one yet...
