Understood. I get scared knowing Gilbert has few conections to Cleveland and would love to move the franchise to Vegas. If [censored] isn't done, and LeBron leaves Gilbert will forever be known as the guy who always knew he wanted to move the franchise.

It;s scary because the Cavs aren't worth anything without LeBron. How much are the worth if the Cavs go on the selling block between several cities including Vegas?

Gilbert is in a can't lose situation. Even if he loses LeBron the francise will make him aprofit as soon as he bolts for another city.

It's just a terrible situation in a sense that this entire franchise rests on LeBron's soulders. I wouldn't want it on anyone else's shoulders but if he leaves, the franchise does too. You just hope the Cavs management is doing EVERY LITTLE thing they can do to make Cleveland the most attractive choice come 2010.

So maybe I'm missing it, but is there any reason why the Cavs couldn't have been the ones buying that pick that Portland just got from New Orleans? Seems to me it would have been nice to get back into the round to pick a guy like CD-R.

Seatle has another pick coming up shortly, I think they would look to sell a pick or two since they have 6.

As true as it is to get something more than what we just bought into, I'd say CDR was the only target I had interest in, and it's fine by me if we crash hard into the free agency market.

I love Anderson, but if he's gone it means LeBron has help. The most likely trading partner was Milwaukee, which I don;t see as a viable trading partner anymore so who does he go to?

My initial thought is that Anderson is gone after next year and we have his replacement. Plus Ben Wallace isn't getting any younger or healthier. He's our future PF.

We'll see. There is definately time to make something happen but tonight only increases the blood pressure.

We have way to many spare parts right now not to try to make a move with somebody though. Buy 1 major threat, and we'll just have to shrink the bench to do so.

Sell Pavs, Wallace, Wally, AV, others of that calibur, and see what you can do.

Somebody has to be interested in a buncha spares for 1 stud.

Unforunately this isn't NBA Live 2007. Expiring contracts is all of our leverage. A bunch of leftovers equal eaten up money uless they can be used in off-setting a big contract.

It's isn't easy to make a big-time NBA deal to go down. Unless the leftovers contracts are up next year, I don't see how it helps.

I'm sorry man, just living in the fantasy star version of it. I'm not a business man, and I try to just get a basic idea of what would be amazing- then I let one of you smart guys figure all the knicks and cranies out. None of it will ever happen, it just makes me smile for a minute or two.


Back in fantasy star universe-

1 star would do us. Milwaukee WAS the most likely counterpart on a trade, that is no longer the case.

Baron Davis is somebody that we wouldn't have to trade for, could add, and then sell our spares (Varajeo, Wallace, Wally, Joe Smith) people of that calibur for a star big man from somewhere else.

If you look, that'd give us a star at SF, PG, and C/PF. Even with a small, bench, it'd work amazingly. Worked well for Boston. You'd have Davis at Point, Gibson at SG, Bron at SF, unnamed magic star at PF, and Z at Center.

Backups is whoevers left, and Delonte West would give us a great backup PG.

We'd still have to do a sign-and-trade to get Baron Davis most likely.

The Pistons just traded DJ White to Seattle for two of their four 2nd round picks. That probably kills the Cavs' chances of buying a pick from them.

Are you joking aroung around? I can't tell.

Joe Alexander will never play the 2 in his entire NBA career. He's a 3 or 4. 3, maybe on a team wanting to go half-court and bang it out. A 4 on a team willing to run you to death.

What will the Bucks philosophy be??

I think they're going to try and push it and see if Alexander works at the 4.

He certainly won;t get any looks at the 2.
