Instead they get screwed out of game 6, and Amare is lost for Game 7. They win that series, and they take Cleveland fairly easily. They were the best team in the NBA that season. They didn't get the title even though they proved they were in the leagues elite, and then they start making wholesale changes. Their window is closed now and they still play no defense, and their offense isn't nearly as good. Just a bad move. And to compound the problem, they've now traded two, young proven players (Diaw/Bell) and a decent rookie (Singleton) for Jason Richardson. Making the rebuild that is coming even more difficult. I think Steve Kerr jacked this franchise up....he saw a potential championship last year by getting Shaq, even though plenty of NBA Insiders knew the styles wouldn't mesh, and this year he tried to work a miracle again by trading away the future for J-Rich. It certainly doesn't help when Nash plays the way he did tonight either.....he honestly didn't look like he cared as he continually turned the ball over and made ridiculous passes. |

Plenty of room on the Cavs bandwagon.

I'm already on the Cavs bandwagon. I'm not a Phoenix fan, just disappointed in the job Kerr has done. He's gutted one of the most entertaining and talented teams looking for quick fixes.

billmac, I totally agree. Kerr has ruined this franchise and team. What a shame. He said after the Shaq trade that he would look like a genius or an idiot. I think we know the answer to that.
I understand his reasonings for getting Shaq, and I think it might have worked this year if D'antoni would have stuck around. I also think getting Jason Richardson was a good pick-up, but I don't think it's working because of the coach. I think Terry Porter is the reason why this team is now going downhill fast. He isn't coaching to these guys strengths. He's coaching to their weaknesses and it's obviously not working. The players and fans are not happy and I think Phoenix might officially be a Cardinals town now. It only took two years for Kerr to ruin it. What else would I expect from a Uofeh Wildcat? Idiots. |

Phx Suns get new interim coach - Terry Porter - GONE

i fear the organization is crumbling before our very eyes. my dad (who lives in town) is saying that Stat wants out as well.

Stat doesn't want out. He has said over and over that he wants to stay in Phoenix, but if they are going to trade him, he wants some say in it.
Same thing with Shaq. He wants to stay, but who knows? Now that a coaching change is being made, I don't know if they will trade Stat. Stat just needs someone to motivate him and hopefully this new coach can do that. When Stat is pumped, he plays awesome and even plays some defense. Steve Kerr has basically ruined this franchise. I should also mention Robert Sarver helped ruin it. Both are UofEh Wildcats!!! Makes me hate that school even more. |

As for Shaq, I still think he's trying to make a move to get himself back to LA so he can retire a Laker. Doubt it will happen unless he plays out his contract in Phoenix and comes in for league minimum or on a 10 day contract or something, but that's my opinion, I have been wrong a few times in the past.

The Suns have a lot of talent if they would just play together!!!!! Their team chemistry on the floor is horrible. I blame that on Terry Porter. The new coach (Alvin Gentry) has been on the Suns staff since 2004 when they would run and gun. I think he is going to loosen the strings a little and let them run - atleast that's what I'm hoping. If Shaq can keep up, then great.
This team isn't going to start playing defense any time soon, so we might as well forget about that idea until Nash retires. Try and outscore their opponents and entertain the fans again. This team plays well when they are having fun and their coach is 100% behind them. |

Did anybody catch the game between the Suns and Clippers last night? If you didn't get to watch it, did you see the box score?? Holy cow dung!!
Yes, I know it was the Clippers, but the Suns beat the ever-living dookie out of them. Final score was 140-100. Phoenix had 81 points at halftime. I'm hoping the new coach just keeps them loose and having fun. That was a great game to watch if you're a Suns fan and it reminded me of the D'Antoni era. It gave me a little hope, even though I understand it was only 1 game. They play the Clippers again tonight at LA. |

I never understood the talk of trading Amare. With all the age elsewhere, you'd think they would start with him as the future.
I thought Sarver is the one pulling all the strings? |
