They need to build the team around him...and one that will compete, just like the Cavs have done for LeBron. Shaq won't be a part of that, so they will slowly have to filter back his playing time next year. Right now the PG of the future is most important. Dragic is still a bit of an unknown at this point. |

Yeah Zach Randolph made a very foolish move and he will pay for it in fines and a suspension. Lou Amundson is great. I hope Phoenix keeps him because they usually only keep role players like him for a year or two.
Robert Sarver is a mortgage/banker and I don't think knows the first thing about basketball and evaluating talent. I think Steve Kerr is the one pulling the strings and deserves all the credit or criticism for the moves Phoenix has made or talked about making. I'm looking forward to watching tonights game. |

I hope Dragic pans out. He is so young and raw. Hopefully Nash is teaching him everything he knows. Gentry says he plans on playing the bench more and getting Dragic in the rotation more often, so hopefully it pays off. I agree we need to keep Amare. He wants to stay and Kerr better not screw it up. |

I was happy to see Tucker and Dudley in the game early...instead of mop up minutes. |

Sounds like a whole different team after one game.
Starting over is overrated. Implosion is even more overrated. Starting with Amare is the smart thing to do. |

Devastating news for the Suns
Amare Stoudemire of Phoenix Suns could to miss 8 weeks - ESPN A day after deciding to let the trade deadline pass without making a major money-saving move, the inactivity seemingly has turned incredibly costly for the Phoenix Suns. The Suns have announced that Amare Stoudemire was forced to undergo surgery Friday to repair a partially detached retina in his right eye suffered in a Wednesday night rout of the Los Angeles Clippers. It is Stoudemire's second injury in that eye since October and threatens to sideline the All-Star forward for the rest of the regular season. Stoudemire's return to physical activity has been estimated at eight weeks by the Suns after Friday morning's procedure, although the club said in a statement that "recovery varies on a case-by-case basis." |

I wonder if this had anything to do with Shaq not moving?

Sucks for the Suns but who took his place in the last blow out game?

He should be back for the playoffs...if the Suns indeed make the playoffs. I really like Jared Dudley, and feel he could see some increased minutes. Look for Lou Amundson to get some more minutes too.

UGH.... just saw the amare news. should have traded him (not really)
5000! |

No Amare, No problem.
140 again. |

I think the Suns are going to play small ball again with Amare out. They did it last night and it worked well. Amundson and Dudley should see increased minutes, especially against bigger teams. The Suns are cursed.
Really looking forward to seeing them play a good Boston team with this new style tomorrow. No KG and no Amare. Barbosa, J Rich and Barnes are going to have to step up their play with Amare out of the lineup. |

What has gotten into Shaq?

|

I don't think it's what's gotten into Shaq as much as Phoenix is actually utilizing him better.
