If the avatar brings home game 6, you could demand that folks donate vCash to you in order to keep it for Game 7.

I think the Cavs finally found some things in Game 5...
I am really not sure about Charles/Kenny talking about LBJ being able to do what he had to do tonight... Was it really that taxing on him...It was fake one way go the other way and take hte layup, jumper or pass...It wasn't like he was doing what he normally does and bring the ball up the court, dribble from deep behind the 3 point line... I would just like to see Mo be a little more agressive in terms of handling the ball creating for guys, himself, and not putting it all on LBJ... And I know this wont happen, but Mike Brown should steal minutes like Phil did with Jordan and now kobe with 1 minute or so in the 1st and 3rd quarter...It is probalby only going to be one or two possessions and let Mo or DWest handle the ball on a last second shot... This steals him that time then the quarter break and if needs to come back on the court at the beginning of the 4th bring him back...

Also the Magic have played everyother day for 24 straight days now and they have had some very tough and emotional games so their guys are going to be wearing down more than ours, who have only went 5 in the last 10...with a 9 day layoff before that...

I don't watch many Cavs game so take with a grain of salt.
LBJ looks whipped! He had some great stats, don't get me wrong, but he is also making some poor decisions and turning the ball over more than I would be comfortable with if I were a Cavs fan.

This is the end for this 'Mistake by the Lake' squad.
Magic will live by the 3 on Saturday night. Cavs have been pretty lucky and have had to play out of their minds just to win 2 games. Not sure the whole team has really corrected any of the problems- James is just keeping their head above water. He can't and won't be able to do it all. Another post-season disappointment for the city of Cleveland. No way the Magic lose at home with the way they've been playing. Cavs by 2.

I feel like this series has more annoying, overused words and catchphrases than a Presidential election. I could go the rest of the playoffs without hearing "matchups" or "adjustments" ever again.
Here's what no one is talking about: These teams are about even. There, I said it. Orlando has some advantages and Cleveland has some advantages (mainly Lebron). At the end of the day, we've had three virgin tight games and 2 10-point wins. If Cleveland wins a tight one in Game 6, then we're headed for an epic Game 7 in what would be one of the best conference finals of recent memory. And that only happens when two teams are evenly matched. |

Quote:
LeBron receiving the ball at the free throw line is huge compared to give LeBron the ball in the backcourt or as soon as they cross the time line. It does two things, first it allows LeBron to not work as hard as the normal gameplan. Second, it decreases the time that the Orlando help defense has to react to LeBron. While LeBron is beyond the 3 pt line the help defenders can kinda see how LeBron is attacking and have time to get in the way, so they don't have to hedge their man as much. From the free throw line the help defenders HAVE to hedge to even have a chance to get there in time without fouling. That hedge from the defenders and less reaction time is leaving the cutters and shooters more open. I love it! Defensively I think they found what worked in crunch time. Have Andy or Ben defending Howard and then play small with LeBron on Turk. LeBron killed all of those screen and rolls by himself. The only problem is the rest he is getting on the offensive end is being spent on the defensive end now. But this is the defense needed to get stops. |

Last night was the first time a player not wearing #23 scored more than 20 points in this series.. Quote:
I think it could be looked at as an advantage.. the Magic have faced adversity this post season and regular season. The Cavs haven't.. until now.

Defensively in the fourth quarter we looked much more active and there shots were much more difficult. Even Pietrus three's were more contested. Stating the obvious here, but Andy shows harder on the pick and roll much better than Z, but I like that the strategy defending the pick and roll last night wasnt consistent. West fought thru or went under the screen, while the big would show hard but sometimes wouldnt. The backside rotation seemed much more effective and quicker last night. I would definitely like to see Z or Andy show stronger when West goes under the screen though, to make sure Hedo has a hand in his face.
Agree with Piney that the offensive set with Lebron posting at the FT - top of the key was money. When Lebron is hitting that pull up it is so difficult to defend. That also puts them in a position that spaces the floor automatically and Howard stayed in to prevent drive. At that point LBJ drives and kicks, drives and scores w/ foul or pulls up. Very nice adjustment in my opinion. For two quarters last night, the Cavs gave me hope. The middle two quarters on the other hand, did not. |

Per the request of another poster, I have placed another 10K on Magic. Congratulations Cleveland! You win again.
