Moss accused of beating woman
Randy Moss joined the New England Patriots this season determined to avoid off-field problems. Now he's in the middle of one, just days before Sunday's AFC championship game.
A temporary restraining order was issued Monday requiring the wide receiver to stay at least 500 feet from a woman who alleged he committed "battery causing serious injury" to her at her Florida home Jan. 6.
Moss denied the allegation by Rachelle Washington, which he called "this situation of extortion," and said he was "furious" about it. The restraining order was issued in the Broward County 17th Judicial Circuit of Florida.

Can we merge this according to date with the official RM thread? I tried a search for "Randy Moss" but couldn't find it before posting. Evidently I suck at that. Thanks, Mod(s).

Belichick not worried about Moss
New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick expressed strong support for receiver Randy Moss, the subject of a temporary restraining order obtained by a longtime friend.
Belichick said he wasn't concerned about the allegation brought by Rachelle Washington that Moss committed battery or about how it might affect Moss on Sunday in the AFC championship game against the San Diego Chargers.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- All-Pro New England Patriots receiver Randy Moss is now a NASCAR team owner, announcing Thursday he's purchased 50 percent of a Craftsman Truck Series team.
Randy Moss Motorsports will make its debut on July 19 at Kentucky Speedway with Willie Allen driving the No. 81 Chevrolet. The number was changed from 46 to reflect Moss' NFL jersey number.
Moss has been eyeing entering NASCAR for some time, but said he decided to buy half of Morgan-Dollar Motorsports rather than build a team from the ground up. Moss wants the team to eventually move up to the premier Sprint Cup Series.
