Chris Simms to the Browns?
big rumor today that Simms could be traded to Cleveland for draft picks. Possibly a 3rd or 4th rounder.

just the fact that he has been with tampa for 2 years and hasn't made any noise with their bad backfield...
i'm not so sure...
but I also didn't follow Chris when he was at Texas either... how was he there?

i think they are talking about simms, swapping ones and cleveland gets an extra 3rd....

The rumor has been floating for a few days if Tampa Bay were to move up to #3 that Simms would be involved.
But about Simms, I don't put him down for not breaking through in the 2 years at TB. His first year was a true learning year and he was named starter early last year and after tearing it up for a quarter or so he got hurt. He was ready in 2-3 weeks but by that time Griese went off completing 70% of his passes and Simms had no chance.
The rumors out of TB is that Gruden doesn't really like left handed QBs. So who knows, but I would not mind a trade if it is a 2nd day pick.

They may be talking to Buffalo about trying to package Simms plus a late round pick for Travis Henry.... another rumor on the radio today.

I don't know much about him except that he never could win the big game at Texas (might have been more Mack Brown than him) and he didn't want to go to OSU because he was afraid that he would be sitting the bench behind Bellisorry. If RC and Savage think that Simms can be a Tom Brady type NFL qb then he would probably be worth a 4th round pick since that would open up the 1st or 2nd round pick the Browns were going to use on a QB. I think I would rather have Simms than Frye in the second round since it sounds like Campbell might go before their pick in the second round.
