Rice Signs for 1 More Year with Denver
Does this guy keep ticking, or what!
I guess he wants to see what MoC can do...

Seeing Rice's work ethic might be a good thing for MoC.

I'm sure they brought him in part to rub off on Ashley Lelie and Darius Watts also. You have to respect the fact that he still wants to work hard and still wants to play, and is willing to bust his ass to do it. I'm sure a little counciling of MoC is also in the works.

Maybe things have changed, but the last I heard was that Rice had to make the team and was not guaranteed a spot. Has that changed?
He is impressive...isn't he 42 years old?

well if he signed, I'd guess that means he's now guaranteed a spot on the team..
EDIT:
But with NFL contracts nowadays... who knows...

I'm guessing Shanahan sees Rice as someone who might help him get more out of Lelie, Watts, as well as some RB named Clarett. If those guys can't get a clue watching JR work, they never will.
God bless him. I hated the bastard a decade (or so) ago when he was giving the Cowboys fits, but I can't help but respect the fact that he can still play the game - even if he's just average now - at 42. Hell, he's older than me!
Best of luck to him.
