Both animals are dead in the end. So if more bravery is involved is the death more justified?

Ron Zook has a special ability to treat people from all walks of life equally and with respect. He is especially beloved by minorities who can recognize disingenuous phoneys a mile away. Since a large number of the best football players are minorities, Coach Zook has an advantage in recruiting.

Vick could face state charges
By the Associated Press
Wednesday, August 22, 2007
RICHMOND, Va. ? Michael Vick's legal troubles from dogfighting could get even worse. The Atlanta Falcons quarterback faces possible prosecution in state court, where punishment might far exceed the maximum five years in prison that could await him in his federal case.
"The real question is how much overlap there would be between anything the local prosecutor would charge and what the federal prosecutors charged," said Linda Malone, a criminal procedure expert and Marshall-Wythe Foundation professor of law at the College of William and Mary. "There are some limitations on duplication."

Pittsburgh Gazette
Bob Smizik: Even Vick can redeem himself
Wednesday, August 22, 2007
Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
The public outrage over the Michael Vick saga will not go away, and understandably so. Any recounting of Vick's subhuman treatment of dogs -- fighting them, hanging them, drowning them -- makes decent people, not just dog lovers, cringe. Yet, he and his associates seemed to revel in these brutal executions. Vick is not only a bad person, but also one who could well be psychologically disturbed. His evil was not caused by a momentary lapse in judgment. It was premeditated and cold-blooded.
In a society that should be close to shock proof, Vick has succeeded in outraging the world with his twisted deeds.

MyFox Dallas | Vick's Jerseys Are Going to the Dogs
Quote:
Some angry Atlanta football fans are making sure Michael Vick?s old jerseys go straight to the dogs.
The Atlanta Humane Society said more than a dozen Vick jerseys arrived in the mail on Tuesday, and e-mails indicated more were on the way.
Many Atlanta Falcons fans were outraged over Vick's alleged participation in dog-fighting, and charges he took part in killing under-performing dogs. Vick is expected to plead guilty to charges, his lawyer announced Tuesday.
Some jerseys were being used as bedding and for clean-up in dog kennels.

Agree somewhat, however pit bulls have a tendacy of unrulely behavior worse than most dogs I've been around. There kinda like a roided out body builder with a nonchalant, "I don't have to listen to you asshole" attitude. Yes they can be sweet, but not always.
I don't know that I would want a pit bull as therapy dog, they're to strong for their own good.
