Favre should be ready in a few days. He already knows the offense, he knows the offense Zorn will run from his days working under Holmgren.

REDSKINS SIGN FINAL DRAFT PICK, TE DAVIS
Ashburn, VA (Sports Network) - The Washington Redskins have now signed all 10 of their draft picks after agreeing to terms on a contract with tight end Fred Davis.
Davis, who was taken by the team with the 48th overall selection, was the second of three Redskins' second-round picks in last April's NFL Draft.
The University of Southern California product won the 2007 John Mackey Award, given to the nation's best tight end, after he led USC with 62 receptions to go along with 881 yards receiving and eight touchdowns.
In his stay at USC, the 6-foot-3 Davis also set career records for the tight end position with 13 scores and 117 catches.
To make room for Davis, the Redskins released tight end Tyler Ecker, who spent his rookie season last year on injured reserve with a groin problem.

Redskins give second-round TE Davis $3.5M, 4-year deal
ASHBURN, Va. -- The Washington Redskins and rookie tight end Fred Davis agreed to a $3.5 million, four-year contract on Saturday, a day before training camp opens.
The deal includes a $1.8 million signing bonus for the 6-foot-4, 247-pound Davis, who was taken in the second round, 48th overall, out of Southern California in April's NFL draft.
"I can say I'm finally a Redskin," Davis said.

Skins trade for Dolphins' Taylor after Daniels goes down
After losing defensive end Phillip Daniels for the season, the Washington Redskins moved quickly to fill the void.
The Redskins acquired Jason Taylor from the Miami Dolphins.
The Dolphins will receive a second-round pick in 2009 and a sixth-rounder in 2010.
According to ESPN.com's John Clayton, Taylor told the Redskins he did not need to renegotiate and was willing to play for the final two years of his contract. He is scheduled to make $8.1 million this season. With around $9 million of cap room, the Redskins were able to work the trade quickly.
The Dolphins had been waiting for an opportunity to trade Taylor, who asked to be moved to a playoff contender at the beginning of the offseason. Before the draft, the Dolphins were asking for a first-round draft choice. They lowered the demand later to a second-rounder.
Taylor didn't win over Miami executive vice president of football operations Bill Parcells by missing all of the team's offseason work while competing in ABC's "Dancing With The Stars."

MRI confirms knee sprain for Skins DE Taylor, out 10-14 days
ASHBURN, Va. -- Redskins defensive end Jason Taylor is expected to be sidelined 10-14 days with a sprained right knee, putting his availability in doubt for Washington's season opener against the New York Giants on Sept. 4.
Coach Jim Zorn said Taylor underwent an MRI on Sunday and estimated the six-time Pro Bowl pick will be out from 10 to 14 days.
Taylor was hurt in a 47-3 preseason loss to the Carolina Panthers on Saturday. Initial X-rays taken Saturday night showed no serious damage.
Contd....
