The most impressive thing he did? Sitting LaVar Arrington. Joe Gibbs has no sacred cows on his teams. |

We've got a number of buckeye/skins fans on this site... I was surprised when I noticed this trend. I grew up on the PA/MD border 1.5 hrs from DC, so I'm a huge Redskins fan. Glad to see that the lights out defense finally has some help.
Also, Joe Gibbs' critics have become much quieter about benching Ramsey now that Brunell has emerged from the grave to give us yet another season (or two hopefully). The few games I get to see of Washington are rarely worth watching, except against Chicago (where I lived the last 8 years), and wins over them are like beating Purdue, it's a win but nothing to brag about. Gibbs getting it done again with the salary cap is quite an accomplishment, when you consider the change from last year to this year. Even if they don't make the playoffs (look at their division), he has done an incredible job already. |

The only game I have seen is the 1st 3 quarters of the Dalles game. I was surprised to see those stats since they were thoroughly unimpressive that night.
Hope they can keep it up against better competition Hope I can see some more games |

My brother is elated. He and I were born in DC and have always been Skins fans, although I don't follow pro much anymore.
I had some reservations about Gibbs coming back. But he, Just like Vermeil, has proven the game hasn't passed him by. Hail to the Redskins Hail Victory. |

Hail to the Redskins! Tomorrows game against the Gints will show what the team is made of and hopefully another step closer to the division championship. Thank God for NFL Sunday Ticket so I can watch them every week. Whoever the assclowns are in the Dayton area have decided to show the late game with Philly and Denver instead of the Skins/Gints.
I agree completely with the benchng of Lavar. I think it sent him a wakeup call. There are no prima donnas on this team. |

As a Bear fan Joe Gibbs broke my heart in a few playoff games. He is a Coach not a baby sitter, there are only a few NFL coaches who would've set Lavar down. He can adapt it just took a year to understand his talent and the way the game is played now. He won a lot of games with less than stellar QB talent. If he had a Montana Young Aikman or Elway ..how many more Super Bowls could he have Won?

Tough game for me. The Bucs and Skins are my two teams.

As an Eagles fan, i was disgusted today. It was towards my own team, though. Jon Runyan was a complete idiot to take that swing at Salavea, and just that small thing would have changed the game completely. The Eagles had the first down around the 30, instead of 2nd and 20 on within their own 15 yard line, and they are not forced to pass (which led to the interception and eventually the TD), and it changes the whole tempo of the game. Also, not to mention Dexter Wynn muffing that punt earlier in the game, which was responsible for another Redskins TD. But that was just an honest mistake, while Runyan's penalty swung the entire momentum of the game.
As much as I hate to say it, the Redskins have a decent team this year, and Santana Moss is a monster. |
