Bengals' WR Questioned in Man's Slaying
MIAMI ? Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad Johnson was questioned by Miami police regarding an investigation into the shooting death of a man.
Johnson, a Miami native, spoke with detectives Monday at police headquarters, according to The Miami Herald.
"Chad has confirmed to the club that he cooperated with the Miami Police earlier this week as part of an investigation," the team said in a statement released Friday to The Associated Press. "Police have characterized this as a routine procedure and have stressed that Chad is not a suspect or even a person of interest in this case."

Classic. Wouldn't it be poetic to top off the Bengals' problems over the past year with a murder charge on their most highly visible player around Super Bowl time?
Yeah, I know they say he's not a suspect, but they said the same thing about Ray Lewis - who clearly was a suspect.

It would be incredible if somehow he was indeed a suspect, and charged/convicted.
I really hope its not him, though, because I always had a certain respect for him for not getting in trouble off the field, and being able to control his attitude with just fun smack talk.

He's not involved. He knew the guy. The cops are doing what they always do, talk to people who knew the guy to see if they have any idea who might have the motive to kill him.

Just curious but when was the last time anyone here was asked to come down to police HQ and talk to them about a murder?
Even if he had zip to do with this, which I'm sure is the case, this means someone he knows did have something to do with it. When are these guys going to learn that the people and places you choose to associate with have a significant impact on your life?
BTW, I'm a die hard Steeler fan and I like Chad Johnson. I want him around for years to come.
