My whole point was for CJ's sake, even if he grew up in that environment he needs to make the decison to disassociate himself from it. Much like saying "nothing good happens after 10 pm" I'd say if you find yourself getting questioned about murders you might want to consider changing the people you associate with and the places you go. Even if you aren't doing anything wrong you increase your chance of something bad happening just being around it.
Once again, I like CJ, I want him to succeed. It has nothing to do with the Bengals other issues to me personally.

As far as the compared to ray lewis....big difference....chad was not with a group of people who got into a fight and someone ended up dead like lewis.

I never said anything remotely close to comparing this to ray lewis.

Not easy to turn your back on people who you've been friends with your entire life.
I know it would be tough for me.
Besides, Johnson's never really been in trouble with the law to begin with.
They said on the radio that he was just interviewed b/c he was a friend of the deceased, nothing more.

Well it seems that Chad was down in Miami for SB events when this happened, so perhaps he is already doing this.

Is there some report stating CJ was regularly hanging out with this guy in dangerous locations?

This article sheds a little more light on it. Police say Johnson was cooperative and will not likely be called back.
Quote:
Dopson and Johnson knew each other as children, he said. Moss did not know if they had recent contact.
Johnson grew up in Miami, his family is there and he lives there off season, he said.
In fact, Assistant Miami Police Chief Adam Burden coached Johnson as a youngster in a neighborhood football league, he said.
Johnson is one of "hundreds" of people they have interviewed since the murder last week - and investigators still don't have much to go on, the detective noted.

His grandma who raised him still lives in the area. He does a ton of charity work down there trying to get kids off the street and out of gangs and drug dealing....but hey he is a rich football player now why should he care about trying to help anybody now.
