Who Dey! Bengals now 7-2...
And with a week off to prepare for the Colts. Here's hoping they enter undefeated before succoumbing to the same fate that befell the KC Chiefs when they entered the Jungle undefeated 2 years ago.

The best thing about this season in Cincy (besides the 7-2) record is listening to the idiots whine about the Bengals' weak schedule. Uh, they've beaten everyone they should have; their two losses came against a good Jacksonville team on the road and against a very good Pittsburgh team. I'm unsure why their record should come under fire, but I'm positive the morons of the world will continue spewing their garbage.

Look, I'm a Bengals fan, but that argument does not convince me. They have lost to 2 strong teams. That means they did not win two of the toughest games thus far on their schedule. They have beaten every team that they should have beaten. This means they did what they were expected to do with a relatively weak schedule - thus far.
Now, this past weekend was the 1st one of the start of the toughest portion of their schedule.
They get Indy (* Big Game), Baltimore at home, travel to Pittburgh (* Big Game), Cleveland, @ Detroit, Buffalo (* Not a Gimme), @ Kansas City (* Tough Away Game).
Now if they do better than 0.500 within that 7 game stretch - then I think you can talk of them having played well against a tough schedule.

I think we're arguing the same thing, but in different ways. I'm simply baffled by critics who hold the Bengals' weak schedule (something out of their control) against them.

Congratulations Bengals, you've won the games you should have. You've done what's been asked of you and are a slightly above average team with a well above average record.
That being said...The only applicible "Who Dey" to this team is: "Who Dey Played?". Consistent teams win the games that they are expected to, but Good teams are expected to win more.
Cincinnati Paper Tigers.
EDIT: Check out the Sagarin Ratings for the NFL...pretty accurate in my estimation.

First of all, You can't find a post that I say Cleveland is as good as Cincy. Heck, you won't even find a post where I suggest the Browns are a decent team. I predicted the Browns to win 5 games this year and I don't even think they are as good as their record indicates.
Way to completely turn a conversation about the Bengals completely around and avoid the real issue. The Bengals wins are against teams with a combined 17-40 record. You've played three teams above .500 all year, lost two of them and beat a team that even my lowly Brownies managed to beat. Just like I said earlier...the Bengals are slightly above average...probably in the lower ranks of the top 15 in the NFL. They are NOT the powerhouse that Cincy-homers like to believe.
A true contender should win at least 2/3 of their games against .500+ opponents. A good team should win about half of those. You're 1/3 right now. Win 2/3 against the Colts, Steelers and Chiefs to break even and then spew your "Who Dey" garbage. Pussy Bengal fans don't even sign dings. If you can't make a decent argument, at least show some balls.

Oiler,
That comment wasn't made at you, I have no idea if you like the Browns or not. Meant towards the other Cleveland Kool-Aid drinkers.
BTW, I didn't ding you either. Don't really know what you said that warranted a ding.
Probably Tibs though.
