and it wasn't by a dancer.

Staley claims he was robbed

Steelers running back Duce Staley told authorities that jewelry worth $100,000 was stolen from him during a scuffle at the entrance to a gentlemen's club near his home in South Carolina.
There were no reported injuries in the incident that occurred around 4 a.m. Saturday at Studio 54, about three miles from downtown Columbia, said Richland County Sheriff's Lt. Chris Cowan.
"We're trying to determine who was involved, how the jewelry came off and who took it," Cowan said Tuesday.
Staley, a former standout at Airport High School near Columbia, told sheriff's investigators that a platinum bracelet and two earrings were torn off him during the confrontation.
Cowan said investigators have not determined how many people were involved in the confrontation and if any of them worked for the club or were part of a security detail there.
"We're trying to piece together what happened. We're talking to the people who own the club, the people who were involved and the people who were there. It's really a very extensive, very lengthy investigation," Cowan said.
Studio 54, which features female dancers, is a private club that is still open for business at 4 a.m., Cowan said.
Staley played his college football at the University of South Carolina before being drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in 1997. He was signed as an unrestricted free agent by the Steelers in 2004.
