Let's allow Lewis' words to do the talking ...
Quote:
"Odell has met the NFL's conditions for reinstatement and has been added to our off-season roster," said Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis in a press release.
"It is now up to Odell to continue to meet all NFL guidelines, and to maintain a standard of personal responsibility that will allow him the chance to compete for a spot on our team."

Doghouse yes, still, not done.

I'm seriously torn on this one. On one hand, I love that the Bengals are playing hardball with him and forcing him to put up or shut up. But, on the other hand, if the deal is good (not necessarily saying the Skins offer is good or not), then you have to do what's in the best interest of the team.

We may have given up two first round draft picks for a guy who may refuse to play. Nothing is certain but if that's the way it works out I'm gonna be [censored]ed

WTF are my 'Skins thinking?
Offering a first round pick and a third round pick is WAY too much for Chad Johnson.
I would have only offered a 2008 3rd round pick.
Needless to say, I'm glad the Bengals denied the trade.

If Chris Henry weren't a complete idiot, do you Bengals' fans think this deal would've been accepted?

Bengals: Many picks, many options
But Lewis says trading Johnson not one of them

THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH
CINCINNATI -- The Bengals will be busy during the draft this weekend. Their extra picks should allow them to be creative. Their rash of injuries, suspensions and uninspired play in recent seasons demands that they be efficient.
"We need to make up some ground," coach Marvin Lewis said yesterday.
The Bengals have the ninth overall pick and 10 picks in all, including four they received as compensation for free agents lost before last season. They could use their multiple late-round picks to trade up early in the draft and acquire a player who can step into the lineup immediately, or they could use the picks to stockpile players who might develop in the coming years.
