I'm not surprised he showed up...I'm not surprised he walk out to the practice field 10 minutes late...I'm not surprised that he didn't participate in any of the drills either...
News - Chad takes field, watches - Cincinnati Bengals
About the only thing that would ever surprise me about Chad Johnson any more is if he simply keeps his mouth shut and plays football.
I used to think Johnson's on-field antics were entertaining and done in 'good fun', but after this off season and all the whining, [censored]ing & moaning, and baseless ultimatums from him, any attention CJ brings upon himself beyond ESPN reporting, "Chad Johnson's making catches & saying nothing!!!" will just add to his increasingly growing negative reputation.
Palmer & Marvin used to deflect much of the negative attention/perception from Chad...those days are now gone, and I think Johnson has used up all his "free passes" from the media, fans, and obviously the Bengals organization.
Just play ball, Chad...or go into acting

... I really don't care at this point. The Bengals have sucked with you, we're (fans) certainly not afraid to suck without you.
