It does make a huge difference.
I'm just going to keep saying it doesn't make a difference.

Agree to disagree.

I can understand celebrating but some of the players have gone TOO far. Team celebrations are one thing, but a MOSS pretending to moon the crowd, TO on Dallas's star how many times? If you didn't watch football you'd think it was their first touchdown or a rare occurrence. These guys are role models and like it or not kids will imitate them. I think they need to be more mature in their celebrations. Spiking the ball is fine, getting in the face of an opponent and rubbing it in isn't good sportsmanship IMO.

I did find Chad's "NFL, please don't fine me again" sign to be clever though, but didn't find it disrespectful to the opposing team

If you think that moving the opposing team's starting field position from the 20 or 25 yard line to the 35 or 40 yard line won't make a difference you are crazy. If nothing else even if you get the team to go three and out you will be pinned near your own goal line on the next series. Field position 101. Ask Tressel how he'd feel about kicking off from 15 yards further back. I think he'd tell you it makes a huge difference.

To strong defensive teams like Dallas, Carolina, and Cincinatti, no, I don't think kicking off from the 15 once or twice every few games, if that, is going to somehow put a damper on their season. Call me crazy if you like.

Like I said, it's not like they'll be doing anything ridiculous with the game on the line.

When did Cinci join the ranks of strong defensive teams (or was I asleep and its now 2008 and the Lewis plan is in full bloom)?

Didn't they force more turnovers than any other team in the NFL last year?
