With the first pick in the NFL Draft, the Houston Texans select:
Reggie Bush.
Although the Texans already have a tough, talented RB in Domanick Davis, it was nearly impossible to pass up a rare talent, such as Reggie Bush. For once, it looks like there may be promise in a Bush.

And we are under way.
New Orleans is on the clock
Feel free to do a little write up of your pick. Why you picked him and what not.

The New Orlean Saints storm up to the stand, once again feeling cheated by the league. With trade offers being available to be made with Reggie Bush off the board, from midnight-noon on a weekday, only one thing can be certain... Commish BN27 does not like Black people....
The New Orlean Saints with the second pick of the draft select....
D'BRICKASHAW FERGUSON
It was a tough selection to make, over Mario Williams to wreck Havic with Will Smith, also over Matt Leinert with a nice pro-day showing today... however, we have a lot of faith in Drew Brees as our Starting Quarterback.
At the end of the day though the Saints felt the tackle position was the most important to replace with a first round selection for the second straight year... With last year’s first-round pick Jamaal Brown on the right side and Ferguson on the left, newly-acquired QB Drew Brees will have a pair of bookend tackles to protect him.
Strengths:
Has rare athletic ability for the position...Feet are second to none and he is like a big dancing bear...Extremely quick and agile with outstanding mobility...Balance is outstanding...Has long arms...Is amazing in pass protection...Has a large frame with a lot of growth potential...Smart player who is constantly improving...Still has a lot of upside...Is very durable...Has a ton of experience having started at left tackle since his true freshman year...Character and intangibles are outstanding.
Weaknesses:
Began his career with the Cavs at 260 lbs. and has been doing a good job of adding weight but he needs to continue to get bigger and stronger...Will the extra bulk affect his mobility?...Still a bit undersized by pro standards and could get pushed around a little, especially in the run game...May play a little soft and could stand to show more of a killer instinct and some extra attitude on the field.
Notes:
May have gone as high as #2 or #3 overall in the 2005 NFL Draft had he come out after his junior season...The type of rare franchise left tackle that doesn't come around very often...Should be one of the premier prospects available.

With the 3rd pick, the Tennessee Titans select Matt Leinart, Quarterback, University of Southern California.
Although Leinart's ceiling may be lower than Vince Young's, his floor is a lot higher, too. He has all the tools to become a star quarterback in the NFL, and Norm Chow, the Titans OC, has definitely vouched for him. Should start as early as 2007.
