Cleveland Browns 2006 Draft Discussion (official thread)
This thread is for discussing all aspects of what the Browns will do, should do, actually did, and should have done during this weekend's draft.
There's a separate thread for the Bengals, and a separate thread for the overall draft.

Bottom Line: If the Browns get Ngata in the first, and Jackson from Maryland in the 2nd, I would consider it a very good first two rounds...

Im still holding out hope for Carpenter...
He'd be an ILB for the Browns, and with his size and strength, he'd be an All-Pro.
If we dont get Carpenter, we absolutely need to get either Jackson or Hodge, and I prefer Hodge.
I think Hodge could become a Ray Lewis type of player.

Personally, I'd take the best defender available. I'd love Carpenter, but the only in a trade down. Between D'Qwell Jackson and Abdul Hodge, I like Jackson more. I'd still like Hodge, though.
Either way, I think the focus should be on defense. Now, if the Browns shock us all and take a runningback with their first pick, I'd probably like that as well.

My roommate (Browns homer) has told me the Browns are either going to get Hawk, Carpenter, or Vince Young.
