I love these snipets from article!
"He is second on the all-time team list with 580 receptions and third with 7,365 yards. His 41 career touchdowns rank eighth. The Jets could always go to him when they absolutely needed to convert on third down: 379 of his career receptions went for first downs."
"He inspired me every day," running back Curtis Martin said. "I loved the way he played and how he never backed down from anything. He was an incredible teammate. He was a warrior, and I always felt you'd have to kill him to get the upper hand on him. If every player in the NFL had as much heart and desire as he had, football would be illegal."
My personal experience with Wayne occurred in NYC when I was visiting my girlfriend at the time. She worked with a girl that was "dating" Wayne and we all went to a club called "FLOAT" after the girls were done working in the bar at The W. Wayne bought a few bottles of Kettle One for our group at $500 a pop! Eventhough, that wasn't much money to him it was still VERY GENEROUS in my opinion. He was very genuine and a fun conversationalist throughout the night. My story doesn't have the impact that MANY others have about this great player, but it's 'my story' about Wayne Chrebet the person. I've told it at least a handful of times.

I just hope Chrebet beats Art Monk to the Hall of Fame.

Anyone who plays without fear despite taking concussions as frequently as he did is okay by me.
