Can't say I give a damn. Its just a matter of time until he gets into it again, and I'd rather he not be on the Bungle's active roster when it happens.
They've got enough degenerates. Don't need this one back, too.

Ehh would have been nice if they would have reinstated him so that way the Bengals could have just cut all ties with him. That way when he [censored]s up again, he is a former Bengal

Doubt it, since another failed test would ban him for life.

More trouble for Thurman
Suspended LB failed to report to probation officer
BY KIMBALL PERRY | KPERRY@ENQUIRER.COM
E-mail | Print | digg us! | del.icio.us!
Suspended Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Odell Thurman violated his Hamilton County probation and must show up in court to explain why.
Thurman, who was suspended all of last season and for all of the 2007 season by the NFL, was supposed to report to his Hamilton County probation officer July 24.
When he didn?t, Probation Officers Liz Albert and Bob Lutkenhoff filed a criminal complaint against him for not reporting.
They also said Thurman still owes $574 in fees, fines and costs due the probation department.

A&W Rootbeer commercial comes to mind (if I knew how to paste YouTube vids, I would have...sorry)
"Mr. Dumb Ass, I can bring a lot to Dumb Ass & Dumb Ass. I'm a go-getter ... Dumb Ass Material all the way....."
Odell, welcome to the company! You'll have a meeting with Mr. Vick, our CEO in the morning. Until then, let's go meet some of your co-workers: Mr. Jones is your line-leader, his friends call him pac-man. And you already know Mr. Henry. He recommended you very highly.
What a Dumb Ass!

The specific complaint is here (PDF).
His earlier failure to appear may result in full imposition of 90-day sentence behind bars. That may effectively end Thurman's NFL career.
Guess a canine intervention isn't needed in that case.

The Enquirer - Judge rips NFL for penalty
Judge rips NFL for penalty
Burlew calls league hypocritical since teams sell alcohol
BY SHARON COOLIDGE | SCOOLIDGE@ENQUIRER.COM
A judge told suspended Bengals linebacker Odell Thurman on Tuesday that the NFL was wrong to suspend him for the coming season over a drunken-driving conviction.
The judge's comments came during a hearing on a probation violation case that was postponed so Thurman could get a lawyer.
During the hearing, Hamilton County Municipal Judge John Burlew blasted the National Football League, calling officials "hypocrites" for promoting alcohol consumption during games but punishing their employees for drinking. Continued...
