Browns TE Kellen Winslow Jr.
I was talking with Hank Goldberg last night and he said something to the effect that Winsolow was at a little kids signing event recently. He asked to have Browns Security help him get away from the event. Hank said, you just don't do that kind of stuff in Ohio....
Anybody read anything about this?

He better produce... he's not exactly thought of highly in Ohio as it is... The punk attitude might be ok with folks in Miami or NYC or LA... but that junk doesn't fly in the midwest...

It wasn't a "little Kids signing event"
Man, I read about this somewhere.. Can't find it.
Anyway. The Event was something other than a signing.... Anyway.. he wasn't the only athlete there.. anyway, he got security to help him get out without signing autographs.
Regardless its a bush league move

Story from the Cleveland Plain Dealer:
http://www.cleveland.com/sports/plai...8613108431.xml
Davis would land on feet if he's fired
Sunday, June 27, 2004
Word is Browns first-round draft pick Kellen Winslow Jr. alienated some folks during a recent youth football camp sponsored by the team when he reluctantly signed a few autographs before fleeing. But what really had parents and the young campers grumbling? Winslow reportedly asked security personnel to accompany him as he left the autograph seekers. That's a "Keep away, peasants" type of stunt that's usually pulled by prima donna singers and entertainers, and not Cleveland athletes.
KWII, is winning the hearts of Browns fans already I see.

This [censored] goes back quite a ways if IIRC. First KWI gets carried off of the field vs. the Dolphins and is seen as a hero. NO FOOTBALL PLAYER worth a [censored] would let someone carry him off of the field unless he was really injured. Did the two guys carrying him play? Pretty sure they did.
Second, KWII signs to Miami after signing day on TV, just for the limelight. Surely someone else can fill in the gaps in that story. Back then I was quite the stoner, so I only remember bits and pieces...
