I really wanna know how many people got Fantasy [censored]ed 20 minutes into the season with this injury. Three of my friends got Brady, even the guy I went up against had Brady, which actually allowed me to win. Hate to see the guy go down because the Patriots offense was great entertainment with him in the pocket. But how many first round Fantasy picks are now for naught?

Honestly, what do you expect him to say and do? Tressel basically did that with Beanie last weekend so that it wouldn't become a huge distraction...
That's all Bill is doing. If he keeps talking about him and mourning his loss that sends the wrong message to his team... Even though these guys are veterans and get paid for what they do, their psyches are still fragile and they need the coaches to make them feel like they can win...

Probably not Romo, but Manning most definitely would... They gave him just as much coverage as Brady for missing injury time through camp...

Happened to me last year with Steven Jackson... He went down for pretty much the whole season within the first week or so... I covered alright because I had Jamal Lewis on my bench and he did alright... But it's much tougher to cover the loss of a high-points QB...

It has been five days since Tom Brady was struck on his left knee by Bernard Pollard, four days since the initial announcement that Brady will be lost for the season, and one day since word leaked that Brady had suffered tears in his ACL and MCL, which means he'll be fit in 10 months, if he's lucky.
Had this been anyone else in any other sport, news briefs would suffice by now. But this is different. It is right up there with yanking the female governor out of Juneau and trotting her out as a candidate for vice president.

Doctors are aggressively fighting an infection in Tom Brady's surgically repaired left knee.
Brady recently acknowledged on his Web site that doctors went in "to clean and to test the wound" on Oct. 15 because of the infection. The New England Patriots quarterback has had two more similar procedures since then.
The story was first reported by the Boston Herald and confirmed by ESPN's Wendi Nix.
The Patriots, as an organization, are upset with the situation because they were clear that they wanted Brady's surgery done under the direction of doctors of their choosing in Boston, sources told ESPN.

Instead, Brady opted to have the surgery in California by a doctor his family preferred, and now there are major problems. Brady was supposed to be back in New England by now, but a timeline for his return remains unclear.
A person close to Brady told ESPN: "Tom is looking at months, not weeks, to fix this."

DANA POINT, Calif. -- NFL owners passed four player safety rules for next season on Tuesday and adjusted the calls on the kind of tackle that injured Patriots quarterback Tom Brady in the 2008 opener.

Defenders who are knocked to the ground no longer can lunge into quarterbacks if the play is still going on. Kansas City safety Bernard Pollard did just that on the hit that ended Brady's season almost before it began, and NFL officiating director Mike Pereira placed such plays in the player safety category.

"We're trying to make the game safer for the guy getting hit and the guy doing the hitting," said Pereira, who plans to retire this year.

Most of the new rules are player safety rules. The "Brady Rule" is not. Any football injury that leaves you capable of banging actresses and models is not the result of a safety issue. The issue here isn't player safety - it's revenue safety.

I think it's bogus that a player that ends up on the ground essentially can't continue the play.

Maybe they've been playing too much NCAA College Football. You can dive at the QB but if you miss, your player just lays there for a few seconds within arms reach of the QB.

Will the defender get a penalty if the QB trips over him?
