Yep, physical is pending. Have to think that if it came down to it. Krenzel being in camp, and being super [censored]in' smart, might have the edge over Hutchinson.

there is absolutely no way...zero that quinn is better than krenzel.....ive watched quinn since he was a steeler and he flat out sucks....

krenzel just may be a starting qb soon.....oh yeah...hutchison sucks too....he couldnt beat out a coke head in dallas.....

Quinn was in this offense while he was in K.C. and Terry Shea was the qb coach. He will be the starter for awhile.

i completely agree that quinn is going to be the starter....but he still blows....

Krenzel moves 1 play closer to field

To assume Craig Krenzel will prepare differently as the newly anointed second-string quarterback suggests to Krenzel that he did not take the proper mind-set before his promotion. A man bookish enough to have studied molecular genetics at Ohio State takes his studying seriously.

"It doesn't change a thing," Krenzel said of his move up the depth chart. "Last week I was two plays away, this week one play. It's the same approach."

Physically, Krenzel will spend the week concentrating on two specific flaws detected on film: increasing his speed dropping back and eliminating happy feet in the pocket.

"When I'm thinking a lot, [quarterbacks coach] Wade [Wilson] and I noticed in the games my feet got real active, and I wasn't throwing the ball as well," he said.

Krenzel is smart enough not to confuse his ascension with a promotion. He knows his desired place on the depth chart.

"Eventually we would like for Craig to be the No. 3," coach Lovie Smith said. "[But] you can't get [Chad Hutchinson] ready in one week to jump in. In time, we would like to see Chad move up to that spot."

I would bet if given the chance that Krezel would do better than whoever they have lined up to start for them now that Grossman's out.

Krenzel should be much improved in the pros, allowing for a lot more practice time and much, much less study time should make for some better accuracy especially on those sideline routes you see every Sunday. He could be excellent, I think, because he can actually withstand the pounding of the NFL unlike so many other QBs that come out of passing systems in college. Dude is tough as nails and never gives up- this much we all know. I think he can do just great in the pros.
