ORD - do you really think more is coming? The way the story is written by that "bastion" of journalism, ESPN, it seems the 500K and 1 1st round pick, or a 2nd and 3rd pick is all that is applied as punishment.

serious question though.....why is the draft pick penalty contingent on them making the playoffs? if you're going to penalize them, penalize them. |

No idea, I wondered that too, if they make the playoffs it's going to be low first round, not to mention they have two first-rounders this year. One of them being the 49ers, so it's not like this is a real penalty anyways. |

The fine is pocket change to both Belichick and the Patriots. And they still get a first round pick next year so the loss of their "Other" first round pick is meaningless. 
I would've expected a suspension and a fine. Or better yet banned from the post season like if it was college ball. I'm sure that would deter any further cheating from any team.
