McCoy is a very good young back, but that's quite a reach. He disappeared at times last year, though some of that could be attributed to his youth. He'll be a very good one at Pitt. Most talented? I don't know about that.
Some of these toolbelts just feel the need to latch on to a "sleeper" kind of player so they can point to them if they do blow-up. It's not unusual. If Lou Holthzzzzz keeps picking ND, eventually he's gonna be right. But picking him over Beanie and, to a lesser extent, Moreno is laughable.

So now it's Michigan's Jake Long who has the Miami Dolphins' interest, and it's easy to see why. He's a premier left tackle who was beaten for one sack his senior season.
That's right, one.
And the guy who beat him? Well, he's on the Dolphins' radar, too. That would be Ohio State defensive end Vernon Gholston, and I can't think of another prospect who climbed NFL Draft boards more quickly since the end of the season.
Once Gholston was a first-round pick. Then he was a top 10 choice. Now, he's a possible top five pick, with Miami not out of the question.

MsChay is bad,,,,but Maylock ( I think his first name is Jason) is worse. He is on the NFL network, and everyday he changes his mock draft. In the last 5 days he has had the Bengals taking, Elis, Harvey, Rivers, and the most recent one I saw was McFadden.

ESPN - Ireland's slip may indicate Dolphins are looking to draft defense - NFL
Quote:
DAVIE, Fla. -- Perhaps it was a slip of the tongue or subterfuge scripted by Bill Parcells.
Or maybe Miami Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland inadvertently tipped his hand regarding the team's plan with the No. 1 pick in the NFL draft.
At a news conference Thursday to discuss the draft, Ireland said he wouldn't talk about the Dolphins' strategy, and he didn't discuss specific players. But one comment he made was surprisingly specific.
"Of course I want guys that have great upside," Ireland said. "This is the first pick in the draft. This guy is going to be -- you hope that he's a pillar of your defense for a long time."
Defense? That would be news. As Ireland continued, the room broke out in laughter.
"What did I say?" he asked.
"You said 'pillar of your defense,' " someone replied.
Ireland's face began to turn red.
"Pillar of your defense, or offense, or team," he said to more laughter. "That's a Freudian slip."
Or perhaps a smoke screen, someone suggested.
"I'll let you guys decide," Ireland said.

ESPN - Dolphins agree to deal with Long, will select OT No. 1 overall - NFL

The Miami Dolphins have reached a contract agreement with Michigan offensive tackle Jake Long and will select him with the No. 1 overall pick in Saturday's draft, sources told ESPN's Chris Mortensen.
The announcement will come at a 1:45 p.m. ET news conference.

News conference is on right now. Congrats to Jake Long - one of the few scUM players I like. Too bad it's not Big Vern though.
