1. Miami (1-15) The Pick: Glenn Dorsey, DT, LSU The Buzz: Dorsey is a dominant inside force who will impress Bill Parcells on film. 2. St. Louis (3-13) The Pick: Chris Long, DE, Virginia The Buzz: The Rams defense needs a playmaker up front. x - 3. Great mock, but replace Gholston with Rivers.
No way in hell we take another LB. We're stacked. Diggs, Davis, and Beason? We set man... Rucker retiring, we had no pass rush this year, and we're gonna have to pay a lot to keep Peppers. |

Here's how it works: Teams at the top of the draft pick according to their assessment of their greatest need & players/positions of greatest "value" at the pick where they are slotted. Then all of the good teams with competent front offices pick the best player available. While all of that happnes, Brady Quinn goes to the green room and cries for about three hours. Eventually the draft ends, then they all come back next year and pick in roughly the same order because the crappy teams never get better because they bypassed the best available player to get somebody who was overvalued at a position of need.
