Orton is at least a body with a pulse to put out there for 09. Have heard a few hard core Bronco fans on Serius today calling for blowing things up, and starting over ala KC. Heard media speculation that Denver should package the 12th and 18th picks to move up fo M. Sanchez. After this train wreck i would hope that they get a player with each pick, and try to build for down the road.

I wonder how Cutler is going to like the bears fans, though after seeing how Denver fans treated the last 2 quarterbacks they had, one of which lead them to a playoff win, he may be in for a vacation. |

There might be 3-4 guys with a first round grade next year. To use both firsts this year to gamble on a QB would exponentially amplify the idiocy of this fiasco. If Sanchez or Stafford drop down close to the 12th pick, and the Broncos are high on that guy, well that is a different scenario. I keep forgetting that Denver has that boy genius as their coach, and need only to get a guy in the 6th or 7th round or even a college free agent and Mcdanials will make him into a world beater in no time.

OC, meant to address it in the previous post, but reportedly Cutler grew up a bears fan in Santa Claus Indiana. I had always thought that he had a reputation as a good teammate, and will assume this would still be true. If his statistically huge season gave him a big head or somehow some funky juiced diabetes medicine is effecting his behavior then whoa. I think the Bears fans will be thrilled to have a QB with top ability, and with a good defense and running game it will be likely that the team will have success. It will remain to be seen that after Shanahan, whether Cutler will get frustrated in Ron Turner's offense. Take a look at my post over in the Ill. recruiting forum for a pertainent story that at least I found interesting.

More positive Denver-related story here.. Brian Dawkins is giving tickets to the ex-Eagles (he was fired) employee who expressed some explicit frustration on his Facebook when Dawkins was let go from the Eagles.
Another reason to like Brian Dawkins. He just seems like a good dude. ProFootballTalk.com - Dawkins Will Give Dan Leone Tickets To Broncos-Eagles Game |

Josh McDaniels may know football, but he lacks the maturity to be a head coach in the NFL. The same can be said of Cutler at QB. The two of them remind me of a couple of 8 year olds knocking over each other's castles in the sandbox.
The Broncos have gone backwards and McDaniels hasn't even coached a game yet. Bears fans are excited now, but if Cutler doesn't grow up he'll let them down, too. The best thing about this soap opera is that it's over. The entire thing was stupid and unnecessary. |
