The league MVP doesnt even get a chance to lead his time in OT...

i don't think it favored one team or the other most of the night....just sucks for the Colts/Dungy they had the stop in OT and the official bailed San Diego out on a bad call. It happens....

I kind of hope Dungy comes back....his team was banged up all year and couldn't get home field. Their team is still loaded.

The holding call at the end was the difference between the Colts getting a potential shot at getting the ball back and the win....

Uhm, and there were 2 Pass interference calls that lead to Indy scores...

Last year, when New York went through as the wild card was that boring for you? Or when the Steelers came through as a wild card and an underdog was that boring for you?

This Chargers team has been screwed in one game by the refs, has had several just screwy situations at the end of games, but they have talent, and more than anyone gives them credit for.

Actually, no I am a born and bred Browns fan FWIW.....I also am a fan of referees being consistent throughout a game...they let a lot go and called some....I look for consistency in how a game is called from start to finish...I don't think referees should be a determining factor in the outcome of a game...

The comment that really gets me from Al was how the refereeing is different in playoffs than during the regular season...Why?....they also noted this crew's noteworthiness for calling a lot of penalties.

Shouldn't have a cause/effect on the refereeing in this game...I never said they didn't have talent...they certainly do as do the Colts....and it was great to see Sproles play well

My argument is for the value of regular season wins and a change to the home field scenario...If this is what the NFL wants then by all means employ the NHL form of playoffs....

It's easily the worst OT setup in all of sports. The whole point of an Overtime is that the game ended up a tie, and that the two teams entered the extra time on an even playing field. But in the NFL, they basically bring it down to a coin toss to see who gets the first crack at getting in FG range (or in this case, score a TD).


College OT is a thing of beauty.

I agree, but I would still like to see the starting line moved back 10 yards or so, so that a field goal has to at least be earned.

I see that a lot but it misses the point. The goal of college OT is to end the game. That's why teams start with the ball in FG range.

As long as both teams get a shot at it I wouldn't care if they started on the 10. It would still be better than the NFL.
