Don't forget this is Brady Quinn. I'm sure he'll hold out to try to get more value for his house than it is worth so it will be a few years before it sells. It will be a happy day with the last of the 3 hated picks is gone. I'm holding out hope that Al Davis is creaming over him. Maybe he'll fire Cable, hire Weis, and trade his first round pick to Cleveland for Quinn.

I personally wouldn't care if they traded both Anderson and Quinn and let Mangini's boy Ratliff started at QB. I really don't think that Quinn has had a fair shot but if they do get rid of him before next Tuesday I certainly hope that Mangini doesn't go out and get more has-beens from the Jets.

We definately need a QB in the draft. I'm all for McCoy then Bradford. Hang onto DA, trade Brady in April and draft a QB. DA gives us the best chance to win. He also comes relatively cheap for a starting QB. Brady Quinn's contract had much to do with his being benched. There was no way the Browns were going to let him take 70% of the snaps, struggle, learn, and make $ 11M. I still thinks he plays toward the end of the season or if the bad DA coninues to show up. |

I'm not sure if I want to draft another QB when we have so many other needs but we can't talk about that after this season is over. |

No offense Lilbuc but your putting way to much emphasis on what Bentley has said. I had high expectations for Quinn and all he did was hold on to the ball and check down. He can't throw down field period/seems scared to. Not like it matters the Browns are in shambles right now.

I think the Browns have enough holes that it would be a waste to draft a QB with the first pick next year. DA is hit or miss, but IMO they would be best to go with him for the rest of his contract and try to build the rest of the team. If they do a good job in the draft next year they might have enough potential in a couple years to worry about a first round QB. I'd trade Quinn for whatever they think is a good enough deal, most likely in the spring. He needs to lose the fear of making a mistake before he will have a chance at playing, but I don't know if he's capable of getting the ball down the field.
I haven't heard what Bentley said, but I think Cribbs does have a place on the offense for maybe 10 plays a game. Besides that let him focus on ST and for God's sake pay the kid some extra $$$ for being the best ST player in the league. I hope they get everyone who could have a catch thrown to them on the Jugs machine this week catching fastballs so they are used to DA's ball. he was 2 for 17, but he also had 6 blatant drops, which can't happen anymore. If putting 8 of 17 balls where the receiver should catch the ball is DA's bad day I'll take it because you know he'll come back and have a good game in the near future. |

I'm sticking with my opinion that outside of Eric Berry, the Browns should use all their other picks on players that weigh 275 lbs. or more. Since I don't see a Jared Lorenzen in this draft, I don't want a QB.
![]() Outside of Joe Thomas & Shaun Rogers no position should be safe on the lines and they should be trying to upgrade and increase depth. It's futile to try to plug the rest of the holes until the problems are taken care of there. |

Looks like Sean Taylor was the highest draft pick used on a Safety over the last ten years. He went fifth.
Several others, such as Roy Williams, Donte Whitner, Michael Huff & LaRon Landry all went in the top-10. I think Berry has the potential to be drafted in the same area that Taylor was. I think his talent and production merit it. I don't really care if the Browns get "good value" or pick somebody who's "supposed" to go in that spot. I want them to get the best player they can, and don't really care if he otherwise would've gone fifteenth if the Browns hadn't picked him at three. This team needs an infusion of talent and production, not value. |

Not really related, but when I played in college they moved our bad ass left tackle down to guard and put me in at tackle I was definitely a finesse tackle that was much better as pass pro than run blocking, but that got our best run blockers next to each other on the other side of the line so I guess we fit LB's idea of what a line should be like except our best 2 blockers were at LG and RT. Worked well for Power right. |

I say they trade Ryan Pontbriand to the Bengals for their 2010 and 2011 first rounders.
