I was expecting Winslow to trash Cleveland - he did the exact opposite.

I will say this, he really matured (under our colors) in comparison to his day's at the 'U', all of his comments were humble and very impressive.

Hopefully he can still have a solid career.

not to toot my own horn, but I was calling this one months ago. it shouldn't be a surprise.

winslow and TB are already talking contrct extension, and the move saves cleveland $3.6 million on the cap this year. They still have less than $2 million in dead cap money, most of which comes from Peek.

There is also a rumor floating about that Cleveland either redid Tucker's contract or reached some sort of injury settlement with him that would cut about $3 million from his cap cost as well.

On the other hand, it could be reverse mojo for the Browns.

Could be better than drafting a player with absolutely no injury/medical/STD history, then getting them to Cleveland only to have them spend half their time at the doctor's office.

Stallworth, jerevicius and Heiden can catch and Crabtree is already hurt so either he is a Brown already, or they'll sign him 12 years from now when he doesn't have anything left in the tank.

I'll be shocked if the Browns pick anyone other than Okrapko or Beanie with the 5th pick.

I have been unable to post for a while but I had just caught up redo the majority of this thread and it sounds like most of you guys want to do a complete rebuild of the Browns. I have also noticed that some people want to trade down. Those people that keep on saying that have to realize that there are many teams who want to trade down not just the Browns.

With the new regime that seeming to being keen on signing free agents I don't know if my lifespan will be long enough to see the Cleveland Browns in the Super Bowl with the players that they have now and next season might just do me in unless there are some major trades made to get players or fairly high (first three rounds) draft choices.

The reason that the Browns should be able to trade down is the fact that there is only one dominant DT in the draft, BJ Raji, and the Browns are in a good spot to take him.

IMHO the 5th pick is a great one to trade. The pick is high enough to get who you want, but you don't have to pay top pick in the draft money. This years draft is loaded (deep) the Browns should try and get all the picks they can!

CLEVELAND -- Tennessee return specialist and backup cornerback Chris Carr is on his way to visit the Browns.

Carr concluded a visit in Detroit today. He said after visiting the Lions that he's looking for an opportunity to play cornerback. If he doesn't find it, he may stay with the Titans.

Why would the Browns be interested in Carr?

They are looking for some depth at cornerback. Maybe they are also looking to ease the load on return specialist Josh Cribbs. Coach Eric Mangini said at the NFL combine that he was looking to expand Cribbs' role on offense and possibly defense, too.

Carr doubled as Tennessee's full-time kickoff and punt returner last year. He averaged 28.1 yards on kickoff returns and 10.2 yards on punt returns. He did not score.

Concerning the KWII trade, I have seen on several draft boards that we received the Bucs 2nd rounder (50 overall). I know we got a bit more than that. Has anyone heard anything about what we have received in the trade?
