Spotty performances? He had one bad game against Auburn in which he was hurt. Before that he had 6 straight 100+ yard performances (although 99 yards against Tennessee), including wrecking South Carolina, Ole Miss, and LSU. And of course he dominated Florida.
Gerhart and Suh are also great...
Yeah but would you want your head coach completely lying after the game?

Come on now, you're completely underestimating LSU.
Do you really think LSU would struggle to find a new head coach? We have great recruits, we get anyone we want in Louisiana and have solid pipelines to the Houston and Miami area and we have great facilities:

Jefferson is not the issue here. By the way, Jefferson was pointing to the clock and getting the players off the field and Miles told him to stay in and spike it. Miles had no awareness of the situation.
And yes, LSU's expectations have increased quite a bit than decades gone past after Saban...
Dear Ohio St. fans,
Enjoy another decade of dominating Michigan because we are done with Les Miles and hopefully Michigan will take him away from us.
Any head coaches out there who have even a quarter of a brain, please apply for head coach at LSU. You will get top recruits, good money, great...
Thanks man, this class and our class 2007 are two of the best ever at LSU. I'd say this one is probably our best single recruiting class ever.
You guys had an impressive haul as well, and I'll agree with your assessment.
Of course leave it to Rivals to put Bama at #1
Yup the whole going for one hat then switching thing isn't really a big deal. I didn't take it as a sleight to LSU at all.
Gotta say though, I have nothing bad to say about this kid, he looks like a man. Hard to believe he's 18-19, dude is jacked.
My views exactly. It's just too much fun to watch Bama fans lose than to worry about the SEC's reputation taking a hit. I give Utah players all the credit, they came out to play from the beginning and they were a ton of fun to watch.
Loss to Louisiana-Monroe first season, Utah second season...
I think the best defense against the triple option is to just keep blitzing and smacking the QB each play no matter if he pitches it or not. You just have to make him worried enough about getting hit that he pitches before he should etc. Even with all that with a resilient QB it's a tough...
I was content to see GT run all over us and then have a possible #1 recruiting class and come back strong next year, but this was a very nice surprise. Like other Tigers fans, I have no idea where this team was all year... everyone played fantastic and Jordan Jefferson was tremendous. Just a...
I've never been one of those guys calling for Miles' head after the bad loss to Tennessee in fall of 2005 and things like that. He delivered with consecutive 11-2, 11-2 and 12-2 seasons and helped continue LSU's "golden age" in college football this decade. But it is absolutely inexplicable to...
We've got 4/5 star recruits all over the field on defense. I know 14 of Georgia's points were because of Lee but this defense still shouldn't be giving up 38 points to anyone in the country. It's not a lack of talent, they just haven't coached them well.
I'm going to go watch highlights of...
An inexperienced QB and terrible defensive coaching.
So frustrating to watch a team with this much talent getting beat down.
I wish Perrilloux hadn't messed up.
Look more closely at the QB, not the ref. The QB tries to go inside so the ref quickly steps up so he can avoid any contact, but the QB instead fakes going inside so ends up hitting the ref.
