From what I've heard so far, it sounds like this outstanding TE is headed out east to play for the scarlet and gray... lets just hope we can close the deal which i really beleive we can

I'm excited about this guy!
Though I think its a bit early to say that, I'm extremely eagar to see how this saga will end. We do seem to be in a good spot, don't we? :)

Reuland also says he was a pretty big osu fan growing up, and that he has always followed them. He mentions Nebraska, OSU, Fla schools, and N. Dame as likely visit destinations. All in all it was very promising update for tOSU coming from a Nebraska reporter.

In his interview he said he was excited to see what Ohio State was like. So by that statement he's obviously going to visit. He also said that since he lived in Germany for a year that distance is definatly not a factor! huge pluses for OSU. I hope we land this kid it'd be great to get him, not only because he's a good player/kid, but also we could indeed start a second type of pipeline. What you guys think of his latest comments?

I have a feeling that with our depth at TE and Reuland Ohio ties, that we are sitting very pretty with him. I think he also made that statement about wanting to see Ohio w/o Alan even mentioning us... but I could be wrong. Anyways, here's to hoping we can land Konrad.

Update from Stanford

He wants to improve his upper body strength, 40 time, and blocking. He's surprised that UCLA has not contacted him at all. He downplays his childhood interest in tOSU. Stanford is looking at him more for bball, but he doesn't know how bball will fit into his future. Plans to attend the Southern California Nike Camp (bball) on April 17th.

I wouldn't read too much into Reuland downplaying tOSU in a Bootleg article. The guy who runs the Bootleg, Mike Eubanks, writes the most slanted, homerish articles you'll ever see from a recruiting site. He slams other schools when he talks to recruits, and he has Stanford in the lead for almost everyone he interviews.

Great update by Chris Nida...Konrad is listed as 6-6 235 lbs. He has early offers from UCLA, Nebraska, Arizona and Duke. Having been born in Springfield, OH he grew up an OSU fan.

I wonder if we can get him to look at Basketball too. We seem to be getting a lot of players that are also very good at hoops. I don't know how the coaches feel about letting the players play two sports, but if it helps to get them to columbus why not let them try it out.

Reuland was offered a scholarship by UCLA at this weekends junior day. Nebraska, Duke, Mississippi, Arizona, and UCLA have offered. He has been good friends with Mark Sanchez since the 6th grade. He has attended a bunch of USC games, and he will attend the upcoming Junior Day at USC. He wants to keep all teams even and visit a couple of places b/f deciding, with tOSU, Nebraska, N.Dame and a Florida school beong strong contenders.

Pretty nuch the same update that was posted on rivals, with 1 interesting quote added... "Ohio State was one of my childhood favorites, and it would be an honor to get an offer from there, but it wouldn’t make a real big difference.” Take from that what you will....
