Considered the #1 running back in Indiana. As a junior, rushed for 2,067 yards and 20 touchdowns on 281 carries. He also caught 11 passes for 290 yards and two touchdowns, and even completed one pass for 36 yards.

James is receiving strong interest from Oklahoma, Ohio State, Purdue, Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa, Kansas, and Kansas State among others. He previously has taken unofficial visits to Iowa, Purdue, and Ohio State.

If the prioir Scout update is the same one I read it is also worth mentioning that Aldridge's coach believes he is better suited at linebacker, and that is where the Scout database has him listed.

Well I guess we could kill 2 birds here with one stone then if true about the position switch. With Jeremiha Hunter's apparent scUM lean... Aldridge could be our 3rd LB/2nd RB in this class (Hunter can play both, and we have offered him... that is why I mentioned his name). He seems to have all the tools, and we appear to be in good atsning. Definitely one to keep up on :).
  4. Just a couple other things from the article. His coach says he could be a better lb and that is where he thinks he is better, but he is a great rb also.

    Also runs a 21.0 sec 200m.

If he runs anywhere near that, I say give him an offer immediately! More likely runs a few seconds slower because that is faster then TG2.
  6. on his times these are the best times in teh country last year for hs kids

  7. That is just what it says in the article.

James was offered by Okie State. He says they really need a RB. They are now his leader and if he likes them enough he will commit during his visit to spring practice. He grew up a Mich. Fan, but also rooted for OSU. He was at the OSU Junior Day and is friends with former teammate Nick Patterson. Coach Tressel was at his school 1 month ago. He would like to major in physical therapy.
  9. Man I really hope he becomes our second back or even a lb in this class.

sounds a lot like jason gwaltney at this time least year; latching on to the first team that offers...if he's as good as they say, i have a hard time beleiving he'll settle for the other osu, provided he gets better offers.

i'm not worried, though. we have chris wells, so any other running back is gravy.
  11. Yeah but he could also become a lb.

I don't think he wants to be a LB.

By the Oklahoma State site...Oklahoma State tops James' list because they have offered. He is visiting Oklahoma and Oklahoma State over his spring break.
