From the Penn State site...Maryland, Penn State, Syracuse, Illinois, Temple, and Virginia Tech, with one from Pitt supposedly on the way. He is also hearing from Michigan, Oklahoma, Boston College, North Carolina and Michigan State. He plans to camp at Penn State for the Nike camp and also at Maryland. His top 6 right now is Pittsburgh, Penn State, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Maryland and Oklahoma. No mention in this article of OSU.

From the Pitt site...Bowman not only plays RB and LB, but also punts and kicks for his high school team. He has offers from Maryland, Penn State, Syracuse, Illinois and Temple. He is also being recruited by Carolina State, Virginia Tech and Florida State for basketball. He plans to camp at PSU, Virginia, and Miami.

From Rivals100.com...Bowman lists Ohio State, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, Penn State and UNC as his favorites. He says he loves his recruiter from OSU (no mention of who it is, but I would guess Fickell) and he plans to visit Columbus. He talks about his favorites and mentions that he would prefer to leave the state of Maryland. Bowman will oprobably not decide until the fall but may want to graduate early. He has a 3.63 GPA and 990 SAT.

From the sound of this article, we have as good a shot as anyone, if not better, at landing Navorro. That is why I re-opened this thread.

Navorro is rated as a 4* LB by scout.com and comes in at #87 overall in their top 100. he checks in as the #15 LB in the country.
it definitely sounds like we have a great shot. he hasn't even seen us yet and speaks VERY highly. sure would be nice to bring in Bowman and Wallace from MD.

Wow, excellent news on Bowman, and completely out of the blue, as he hadn't been talking about Ohio State for a while; if his coach is favorable toward Ohio State, then the Bucks should have a real chance here.

BTW, the article cited by wadc45 was written by Mike Farrell, a Rivals national reporter.

man whoever is recruiting these boys in Maryland is doing a hell of a job!!
That would be Luke Fickell.

This is great news indeed especially with the need of LB's in this class. We are definetly doing great in Maryland this year and Luke Fickell is an excellent recruiter(not a newsflash really but still). It would be great to get him,Wallace, and possibly Gbadyu in for that game. It's also good to see that his grades are excellent.

It would be huge to land the aformentioned Maryland talents. I think our lack of a presence in that area hurt us with some other players recently. I think I saw all 3 listed as a top 100 talents on one site or another.

From Rivals.com...although not a member of the Top 100, Navorro has been named to Rivals Top 250.

The No. 2 linebacker prospect in a good year for linebackers in Maryland, Bowman had 165 tackles and nine sacks in 2004 while also posting more than 1,000 rushing yards on offense.

I just watched Bowman's film. Although he is similar in size to fellow Maryland LB Akeem Hebron, he is a different style of player. While Hebron has great speed and flies around the field making highlight reel hits, Bowman mans the middle of the defense and relies on his strength and reads to make plays. Overall, a very good player, but not flashy; definitely a linebacker and not a safety. He would be a nice addition to the Bucks.
