'06 PA WR/DB Elijah "Scoot" Fields (Pitt signee/bootee)

Take it for what it is worth but Elijah will need a miracle to qualify into these schools that he wants to go to. Most likley a JUCO or a Prep school for him.

I hope for miracles too but the person who told me this is absolute money on Western PA recruits.

If he is visiting, I would think his acedemic standing may not be as much of a longshot as originally thought. Anyone know if the acedemic hangup is only test scores, or grades also. It seems like (at least this year), the staff has been more willing to allow guys with decent grades to visit without the proper test scores, maybe because those are much easier to raise than it is to undo 4 years of poor grades. Hope things work out for Fields & the Bucks.

Another one of them recruits that I feel if they get thier grades in order we stand a good chance.

I also think that we are only going to take one more reciever besides Small and we have Fields/Johnson/Lyons/Matthews fighting for that one spot so it should be fun to watch down the stretch.

Pittsburgh Live

1/15

The player host for Duquesne's Elijah Fields, the 2005 Pittsburgh Trib Football Player of the Year, during his visit to Penn State this weekend was 2004 Trib co-Player of the Year Justin King of Gateway. Don't be surprised if King, expected to start at cornerback, tried to sell Fields -- who wants to play receiver in college -- on the idea of teaming up together in the Lions' defensive secondary.

He plays in the smaller school division in Pittsburgh, but the competition there is nothing to laugh about at all. The regular season was not that impressive but the competition in the playoffs was really good.

Here is their schedule and results

Rochester is a Power
Southern Columbia can play with just about anyone in the State

I would have liked to see the Greensburg Central Catholic game. I think OSU is recruiting a WR from there as well.
