Scout recruiting analyst and devout Wolverine slappy, Sam Webb has an update on Michigan State's top quarterback target, Robert Bolden in today's Detroit News.

Detroit News, June 11: Joining Oregon and Louisville on the list of finalists are Michigan State, Penn State, Northwestern and Vanderbilt. Though Bolden claims there's no leader , recent gossip suggests Michigan State and Penn State are in very strong position heading down the homestretch. Both certainly gained positive momentum in April.
"(The Spartans) are definitely on him," the elder Bolden told Scout.com. "They are probably on him harder than anybody else. (Their interest) wasn't a real general, 'We like you, so maybe you can come here,' it was, 'We love you!' That set them aside from a lot of the other schools."

ESPNU 150 Watch List quarterback Robert Bolden (Orchard Lake, Mich./St. Mary's) has 23 scholarship offers including Michigan State, Penn State, Oregon, Michigan, Wisconsin, West Virginia, Nebraska and Northwestern. However, three schools stand out for the 6-foot-4, 195-pounder.
"It's mainly Penn State, Michigan State and Oregon," Bolden said. "And I've been talking to West Virginia, but I haven't done much as far as getting down there."
Bolden was in East Lansing on Friday for the Spartans' camp.
"It went pretty good," Bolden said. "I saw a lot of guys I've heard about over the Internet."
Bolden has been St. Mary's quarterback since the beginning of his sophomore season and said he might attend a day of camp sometime this month at Penn State, though nothing is scheduled at this point.
When asked which of three schools he has at the top of his list, Bolden said, "I don't have a favorite."
