OL Chad Lindsay (stepping away from football)

From mgoblog:

Not a surprising choice frankly
He has one year left of college football and probably no pro career. So given his potential last season of football, he could
  1. Go to Ohio. Compete for a national title on super offense
  2. Go to Michigan. Hope to win 8 games amongst fairly incompetant O-linemates

Happy for him, but does this speak to Boren and Price not being ready yet, or just going after and getting a talented kid that can play immediately?
Also, not sure where I read it exactly, and it could be a rumor, but I thought I read that Boren had said of he lost the position battle to Price that he would transfer, I wonder if that case still holds true now. If he stays we're talking about some great depth and it'll give him some time to mature

don't forget all their athletes are potential Rhodes Scholars.
"Which IMHO says that if Lindsay could have gotten into Michigan's grad program he'd be at Michigan..."
-- SonOfJorEl
Are they forgetful, or just extremely arrogant and stupid?

3. Waiting on Gallon and Turner. both have one last chance. Gallon seems to need a point or two on his test and waiting on results on why he is not in Ann Arbor yet. Turner from what we were told he was taking summer classes to help his situation. He was one recruit that we though we needed to see in Ann Arbor early this summer since in our opinion he was a recruit that the coaches were counting on this fall. We keep hearing that right now he has a "certificate of graduation", but not a diploma.

Both of those players would be a huge loss if either does not make it in. We hope we answered all your questions ... lol.

LGHL with a good write up on Lindsay's intelligence and experience at C. A proven "QB" on the O line for a team with an Oline every bit as good as ours last year. Just need to find the perfect combo to surround him with to gel. I'm sure this is what Urban and Warriner wanted when going after so many JUCO players, a proven upperclassmen that can bridge the gap between last years talent and the young Guys we currently have.

I'm really hoping we see a rotation of Boren, Lindsay and Price as the 2 G's and Center. It would be awesome if all three could play any of those positions and really solidify the interior of the line and sure up the depth.

Regardless of who is playing, they are practicing against the best defensive line in the country everyday so I expect them all to do well on gamedays.

Not so sure of that rotation with Elflein having secured one G spot and Underwood/Hale at LG. Anything is possible though and I definitely think Price could be a star anywhere along the interior OL. As for Lindsay, undoubtedly a center here...QB of the OL.
