'11 OH DE/LB Andre "Big Tank" Sturdivant (Toledo Signee)

BN $ - Sturdivant Talks Top Five And Ohio State

10/1

By BK...OSU is still in contact and waiting on an ACT score...Penn State, Ohio State, Illinois, Michigan State and LSU are his top five...OSU has not offered and LSU is talking about offering him, Wynn and Walker to go along with Jones...talks about the OSU/Miami game.
Funny that LSU has absolutely no room for Sturdivant, let alone the entire Glenville class... Honestly, the Tigers are over their scholarship limits for next year by around ten or so already, and they are not done signing for the 2011 class. I would think that of all high-school coaches, Ginn Sr. would be on top of that issue of dealing with an essentially non-guaranteed scholarship at LSU.

Free Rivals - Top 10: Therezie tops list of headhunters

5) Andre Sturdivant

School
: Cleveland (Ohio) Glenville
Buzz: What makes Sturdivant such a feared tackler? First and foremost, is his size. At 6-2 and 249 pounds, the huge linebacker packs a lot of punch and knows how to use his size and strength to deliver a blow. Whether he is lined up at middle linebacker or defensive end, Sturdivant can be a headache, literally, for opposing ballcarriers.

Penn State Recruiting 12/8/10 (Ben Kline Commits to PSU) | Victory Bell Rings

Andre Sturdivant [DE from Ohio] said he is DEFINITELY (Caps meant to be on) Penn State this weekend. December 10-12 to be exact. Still no Ohio State offer, and he claims Penn State is in the lead so as long as OSU doesn't offer this kid?he is wearing Blue and White. He said this week in an article that the Glenville Four (Besides Sturdivant?OT Aundrey Walker, WR Shane Wynn, and QB Cardale Jones) would all like to go to the same school. He then said that he is definitely going to the same college as Cardale an/or Aundrey Walker. How true...who knows? But he said it. He went on to say Cardale Jones will probably accompany him on the visit to PSU this weekend, and that Aundrey Walker is scheduled to visit PSU as well. For those of you who don?t know, Aundrey Walker is a massive OT: 6'6 350?Top 100 type of player. He never seemed to interested in Penn State so that is why it is pretty surprising hearing those comments. Wait and see approach with Walker...we'll see how true it is.

[sarcasm]So well written...[/sarcasm]

MSU prospects enjoy time on campus | freep.com

Defensive end prospect Andre Sturdivant of Cleveland (Ohio) Glenville High has been on Michigan State's campus several times, which has made a strong impression on the 6-foot-2, 250-pounder.

"It always feels awesome up at Michigan State," he said. "Sitting down with the coaching staff and being around with the guys, it is like you never left home. They make you feel like they are bringing you into their family. You can tell that Michigan State coaches care about their players off the football field."

Sturdivant was headed to Penn State this past weekend and could also visit Ohio State in January. Rivals.com rates Sturdivant a three-star prospect and the No. 20 player in the nation at his position.
