Scout $ - Jones Adds Offer

11/9

By Alkire...BC has offered, joining Iowa, Maryland, Penn State, Pitt, Rutgers, WVU, UVA and Virginia Tech...think Ohio State is close to offering and Alabama is showing a lot of interest as well...will take over for Darius Jennings at QB next year.

Like this:

"Cyrus Jones is a tremendous athlete with great character," said Jennings, a four-star prospect and state MVP who started at quarterback the last three years. "The world is open to him. With his talent, there's no telling what he can do next year."

Lots of great stuff in that article...good read.

The BC offer tells me that he's a very good student. Also, according to the article, his dad is the head basketball coach at Dunbar, which (unless it's a different Dunbar or I'm rapidly approaching senility) has put some top notch talent out there in hoops.

In other words, he's a good student, a good person, and isn't afraid of the big stage. The only question is where do the coaches put him.

Dunbar is always in contention for Regional/State titles in basketball and football.....however Cyrus attends Gilman. I can't speak for Gilman's basketball team, but their football team is usually one of the better teams in the state.
