Thanks for all your efforts Wad, it is appreciated!

His TD's to catches and ypc are nuts.
Good stuff. Uses his blockers well and has nice soft hands.

The two qbs (#2 and 10) from his school are pretty good too. That 10 kid throws on the run pretty accurately.

Nice! Everyone else has said it, but you have to love how he catches the ball away from his body. I really like Lewis in and out of his cuts as well...he can create separation quickly. Love this pickup :osu:

Football: Pickerington Central's Lewis commits to Ohio State
Tuesday August 9, 2011
By Tim May
The Columbus Dispatch

Wide receiver Roger Lewis of Pickerington (Central) became the 12th commitment to the 2012 Ohio State recruiting class today.

Lewis, 6 feet 2, 185 pounds, said he informed OSU coach Luke Fickell by phone of his decision, picking OSU over West Virginia, Cincinnati and Arizona, with several other Big Ten schools having shown serious interest of late. But Lewis said there was never a doubt about where he wanted to go, once OSU made a scholarship offer a week ago.

?Growing up in Columbus, and just watching Santonio Holmes, Ted Ginn and all those great receivers go through Ohio State, I?ve wanted to be a part of that,? Lewis said. ?So I decided to make it official I want to be a Buckeye.?

The feeling was mutual evidently after he made a good showing in OSU?s summer camp, said Bill Kurelic, veteran recruiting analyst for Bucknuts.

?He really opened some eyes with his speed, his hands and his route-running,? Kurelic said. ?He was very impressive. And I think once he gets to Ohio State he is going to surprise some people because, and this is no slam on Pickerington Central, one of the great high school programs in this area, but they don?t throw the ball a lot.?

Lewis said he also ran a 4.42-second 40-yard dash at Cincinnati?s summer camp, which upped the interest for schools. But he was always leaning toward Ohio State, he said, even if the football program has been under intense scrutiny due to an NCAA investigation which cost the school its long-time head coach Jim Tressel and quarterback Terrelle Pryor. It comes to a head Friday with OSU officials? appearance in front of the NCAA?s committee on infractions in Indianapolis.

?All that stuff has been talked about for so long, but I really didn?t care because it would be hard to pass up an Ohio State scholarship offer, as long as I?ve wanted to go there,? Lewis said. ?I don?t think it is that big of a factor, and it should wear off soon.?

Scout $ - Scout's Take: Buckeye Commit Roger Lewis

8/14

Pickerington Central wide receiver Roger Lewis is the latest commit for Ohio State in their 2012 recruiting class. Lewis basically came out of nowhere to hit the recruiting radar, following a series of impressive camp and combine showings. How does Scout.com view this three-star prospect?

We liked Roger Lewis during the summer. Like the Ohio State commit today at the Herbstreit. Can make ppl miss, has big-play ability.

Ohio State WR commit Roger Lewis has also had a couple nice blocks today.

Ohio State WR commit Roger Lewis gets behind the St. Xavier D for a 2nd time today, this one a 39yd TD to put Pickerington Central up 20-17.

Roger came up big yesterday even in what turned out to be a losing effort. He looked fluid, ran good routes, threw some blocks..it made me think he was up against weak competition..but St X was the nationally ranked squad.

His first TD was a thing of beauty (as was the second, btw) and has he turned across the endzone in the shoe all I could think was: I expect we will see that many more times in the next handful of seasons.
