Thomas Johnson (Texas A+M signee)

Also, you have to add in the fact that USC can't take as many players as usual, so there are a lot of West Coast guys that are filtering to Cal and others that normally wouldn't. Obviously, that doesn't mean as much for Johnson as he's a Texan.

Hmm... best in the business, and Cal plays in Columbus this September... Would it be odd to hope Urban views that like an official visit from a recruit and invites him to dinner to discuss his future?

Tosh is a Cal grad who played their for six seasons, became a grad assistant immediately upon graduating, and then got the DL coaching spot. I would be very surprised if he leaves Cal for anything that's not a head coaching spot somewhere.

Hippies in trees.....

They lost that battle so Cal is getting it's new athletic center. It's going up right next to the fault line that Memorial Stadium IS DIRECTLY ON TOP OF.
The current facilities are in the stadium and the University deemed that to be too dangerous and a new facility was needed.

Anyways back to Johnson...

Police: Texas A&M receiver missing

The police department says that the 18-year-old was last seen leaving his residence in College Station on Monday at 5 p.m. Johnson went to high school in Dallas and police believe he might have traveled to that area.
Lt. Allan Baron says there are no other details available.
Aggies coach Kevin Sumlin released a statement expressing his concern, saying: ''Authorities are working closely with his family, friends and law enforcement agencies to help locate him . . . We pray for his quick and safe return.''

He declined on OSU's offer to take a visit per a 247 insider.

That's to bad. After watching the kid's film he has "it" without a doubt. He's playing at a high level school in Texas and he is outrunning the tackling angles. He is gonna make some school very happy.

Not necessarily....

Former Texas A&M WR Thomas Johnson arrested on murder charge

A very disturbing story has emerged out of Dallas, where former Texas A&M wide receiver Thomas Johnson sits in a Dallas County jail cell after allegedly admitting to hacking an unsuspecting jogger to death with a machete.

Just before 8 a.m. Monday, authorities say Johnson went to White Rock Creek Trail, a popular jogging trail in northeast Dallas, and randomly slashed a jogger to death. “It appears Mr. Johnson picked this victim at random. Absolutely random,” Deputy Chief Rob Sherwin told the Dallas Morning News. “He just attacked him. … It’s just very unusual. It’s quite shocking.”

Johnson, meanwhile, remains in a Dallas County jail in lieu of $500,000 bail.

Johnson was a highly-regarded member of Kevin Sumlin‘s first recruiting class at Texas A&M. As a true freshman in 2012, the Dallas native caught 30 passes for 339 yards and one touchdown through the Aggies’ upset of then-No. 1 Alabama and then simply… disappeared. He went missing for three days in November 2012 before turning up back home in Dallas. His mother told the San Antonio Express-News last April Johnson would like to return to college football, but a return to the game never materialized.
